Good on Malaxos for giving it to the umps yesterday as reported in the media, they are so unaccountable it seems and I want to know what the hell Darryl Sinclair and co are doing during the week?
At Fremantle yesterday the inconsistency in decisions both ways was glaring and frustrating as it is every week. Although as pointed out to me by another SD fan we had 110 more possies yet the kick count was 23 to Sth 15 to us, work that out!
Then I watch the first Q of the Peel v Perth game in replay and witness an obvious change in the holding the ball rule,(Ken Judge made some good comments) they were red hot and in no way did the players getting pinged have any hope of any disposal, we need to reward the guy getting it first that's what our game was built on? I wish more coaches like Malaxos would vent their spleen it may make them take some notice. Monaghan said similar things last week when broadcasting our game for 107.3fm re- inconsistency.
As fans paying $15 bucks to get in every week or forking out for memberships we deserve better.
3 Umps is too many too, it just creates competition amongst them I reckon and it looks like they have to get their quota of frees up or something, because interpretations seem to change by the quarter..like parking inspectors writing tickets to get their quota up haha

Agree 100% but whilst that fat bogan Sinclair is in charge forget it. He's only interested in getting in on as many free lunches as he can and throwing abuse back at supporters who dare criticise the umpires.

That performance at Bendigo Stadium yesterday was an abomination. There is no protection now for the player going for the ball, you're better off being second and wrapping the ball carrier up in a tackle and getting a free. It becoming a game where there is no incentive to make the play and go in first because the seagull hanging around the pack can now pounce on the play maker and be certain of getting a cheap free.

The game's being mangled beyond recognition by half wits like Kevin Barlett and his rules committee. I feel sorry for the umpires. Best thing that could happen for the game is Barlett to fall under a bus.

Good topic Swandog and something that must be addressed.
I put the following comments on the WP thread last night because When we won it was forgotten.. Gee lucky for the umps we did or IT WOULD OF BEEN THERE FAULT! In fairness Parry wasnt to bad but he is a senior umpire and from what I have seen he is improving. I suggest the WAFL umpires start wearing numbers so they can stop hiding behind their anonymity. At least if a umpire is consistantly bad we will remember him.
I must admit I saw as many missed in both sides so it evened out.
At least the game wasnt won on a FREE KICK! Phew

My post from WPFC thread last night

Did I mention the umpiring was incredibly Incredibly bad.. Shocking performance.. both ways Parry , Power and Martin... Martin has not improved at all and missed so many obvious kicks either that or he has a problem where his brain works slower than his EYES!!! or does he use a IPhone to watch replays before making a decision???? Power wasnt any better. Parry seemed ok.

I have got to a stage now where I have given up and try and ignore the Umpires and their decisions as it spoils the game. I concentrate on the play and THE ERRORS that my side makes.. Usually more than the Umpires can manufacture.. Yesterday I did lose it a couple of times because of blantent kicks being missed but I would like to think it was because of the closeness to the contest... It tends to blurr your vision a bit LOL

Free kick count was 14 apiece.. Shit it seemed more than that.. Umpire stats though are very misleading as it depends on where those kicks were given etc etc etc
I surprised Subi didnt get more (well it looked that way) I even told an umpire to put a Subi Jumper on at one stage B) Subi certainly controlled the first 3 qtrs and were first to the ball yet still had the same count as WP? Ha I know WP didnt tackle

I heard from a mate at the game that Parry was once again a disgrace

Disagree SwanDog it was the Junior umps who were missing a lot Parry seemed ok to me and thats comming from a WP supporter.
It would be interesting to get a break up of the umps stat e.g out of the 28 kicks given out how many were given by each umpire. Now that would tell a story. I think you will find Parry would be on the lower end of the scale. But then of course that doesnt give a count of he ONES THEY MISSED, but as I said they were as bad on both sides.. Saw WP get a couple of easy ones late in the game? Saw Subi not get some blatent kicks in their forward line as well.. A couple I can remember disinctly as I said to the guy next to me Shit we were lucky there..
Maybe Maybe Subi could of got this game.

Maybe your mate just doesnt like Parry and it Sticks :)
I had the Same problem with Farmer when he umpired a EP V WP game where he didnt pay a kick to one of our guys right in front just before the Siren.
Now I never forgot that one..And it stuck

I don't think anybody likes Parry and going by the free kick ladder on another thread Swans seem to get a raw deal more than most eg yesterday 23 to 15 in favour of Sth yet we dominated the contest and had 110 more possies, it doesn't add up,it didn't rile me up as much because we pumped them anyway but we seem to be on the lower end of the kick count almost every week,im sure most WAFL fans would say the same tho

At least in the WP v S game the umpires were equally bad for both teams which allowed for an even game. It's when you see a one point game with a 30 to 15 free kick tally which concerns me.

Good luck to WP. The better team won on the day.

Thanks Ben you are a gentleman.. but really 1 kick one bounce of the ball and it would of gone the other way. Really just the luck of the draw in these 1 point or for that matter 3 point games EF..
A very even contest all round by 2 good teams.
Dont think we meet your again this year unless in the Finals.. You look like you have a easy run home anyway..
