Some interesting claims about the "win win" advertising campaign made. Some shift in demographics at wafl games.

I think it was worth a try and they should try again this year. Gender parity on the board is mostly corporate virtue signalling. Just get the best people you can find. I dont care if they are all women or all men.

Yes JL, read that report, the gender thing is also being pushed by state and federal government policy which will with hold government funding/grants for organisations that dont have it. I think they would have lost $100k if they hadn't appointed the lady.
It mentioned the "disappointing GF crowd" I think they forgot that Peel were playing and they have the smallest following in the comp, so I saw it as a very good crowd.

Maybe it confused season 2023 with season 2022 when Joondalup and Claremont managed to attract less than 17,000 thousand to the GF.

Agree SS in the circumstances the 2023 crowd was pretty good.Considering Peel was involved it was really good. Can you imagine the crowd if it had been a EF v SF match or even a Perth Derby game. I think the “disappointment “ angle from the commission was economic. They worked out that a 30K crowd was necessary to break even given ground hire, staffing, etc and that’s why the article mentioned on going discussions about the arrangements for future grand finals there. In the end it was a success from a football viewpoint ( attendance, comfort, etc) just not financial and that needs to be worked out.

Ti Em if that GF had been played at Optus it would have attracted near 30k no problems. They were packed in like sardines at Leederville in hot conditions, thousands missed out who would have had a chance at a nice shaded seat at Optus, But Cricket had the last say.

It was a sell out Ti em, can't fit in much more than that

If it was a sell out why were they still selling tickets on the day of the game?
