Given Freo (AFL) look likely to miss the finals, what are the WAFL rules regarding listed player numbers if/when Freo (WAFL) play finals. Also what is the qualification criteria for listed players to play WAFL finals?

The full restriction comes into play - no more than 12 AFL listers and qualification of either I think 6 games WAFL
I think I've got the numbers right

Rule 4.1.1 in summary - each finals game max 12 AFL Players who have played at least 6 WAFL games for Peel AND (at least) 2 of them must be in Peels last 8 home and away games

I hope they play a decent number of their allocation of 12. They have not been flogging the competition, and especially in finals you want every team to be strong to showcase the end of season

What's the point of having a Peel team in the WAFL if the majority of their side are going to be Dockers?

While 12 sounds bad, try playing them with 16 or 17 listed players, even the best Subi teams couldn't get over that contrived set up in the finals.

1 sounds bad to me actually. Unused Dockers and Eagles can go play AFL reserves. Both set ups receive millions upon millions of dollars from the AFL each season so not like they can't afford to do so.

That's the obvious solution, all the eastern states teams work that way, so no reason the SA & WA teams cant do the same and join a national ressies comp. We return back to a 9 team comp until Peel inevitably folds and we are back to 8 teams, 21 game season (3x7) with a final 4.
Yes we may loose some players but the comp will have some integrity.
