Just read an article by JT posted on sports FM about a week ago that reported the WAFC reported a surplus of $4.2 mill for last year and has a "war chest" of more than $21mill in cash. The 2 AFL clubs paid $5.7mill in royalties. The financial statements also reported that Joondy repaid $50k of the $254k WAFC loan while Peelmantle repaid only $13,375, they still owe $63,750, so at that rate it will be another 5 years before they clear the debt.

So the WAFC is awash with money but very little if any is going towards any promotion of the WAFL. I'd like to see a breakdown of where they are spending the money, especially on wages and any bonuses.

How is the WAFC set up?  Do they have a recognised board with directors?  As a sporting body, surely they have to make a financial report available?  If so, I can’t wait for a copy of it!!
