Still not a fan of the stand rule for WAFL. Just back from Adelaide and watched some of the Norwood v Centrals game and noticed SANFL dont have the stand rule, it was a great game of footy with Norwood coasting away in the second half but good quality footy from both teams, one is top 3 the other, centrals is bottom 2, so not much of a gap. Another example of the SANFL not slavishly following the AFL. Based on that I would expect that the stand rule wont apply for the state game given SA are hosting.
On another note, and I know some on here hate the AFL but my daughter managed to get tickets to the showdown, what a great venue Adelaide oval is, great viewing as well. Port home game so we had the full build up with "never tear us apart" sung at max volume just prior to the bounce. A fantastic atmosphere and the loudest crowd I have ever experienced in nearly 60 years of watching footy.. Port did it very very well on and off the field.
