I don't think I can remember such a quiet time on here about 6 weeks out from the season opener. Normally supporters would be talking about up coming intra club matches or who's missing from training etc... I haven't received any correspondence from my club and can't see anything on their website about intra club games coming up. Pretty piss poor, if you want to sell memberships you better get off your arse and give us a reason to buy one.

Agreed, it’s like a morgue on here. It’s only about 6 weeks till the season starts and as you say scratchies will be happening before we know it. I wonder if the amount of media coverage that women’s football is now getting is satisfying the hunger for the real thing. Personally I can’t watch it and am really looking forward to the WAFL season.

I’d be extremely surprised if the women’s footy was satisfying most people’s thirst for the game. It’s still a long way away, but it’ll crank up as the season gets closer.
But then again, if I was a dorks supporter, I’d be watching their women take every one to pieces.

My take on it is that everybody is a bit cautious after last year when the season was suspended in the middle of the scratch matches. I remember going to Lathlain one Saturday in March last year and enjoyed watching a competitive scratchie between Swans and Perth, then the next weekend it was all snuffed out due to the first lockdown. Fingers crossed we get going in April this time

So that's probably the pre season timetable for most clubs which means they should be playing a couple of intra club games in the lead up.

If WCE are playing a scratch match on Friday 26th then it’s unlikely our first game will be played on Thursday 1st April. We still haven’t officially heard when our opening game will be played.

Was shifted to Thursday night so it could be played under lights at Perth FC request.
