Started going out with my future wife in 1977. Wasn’t a good year for me.

Married into her family full of perth fans, members and the odd director.

Father in law spent more time talking about perth at our wedding speech than he did about his daughter.

He then tried indoctrinating my kids into becoming demons supporters by bribing them with ice creams and lollies. Cost me extra Royal show bags but we managed to save their souls from the hell pit called lathlain.

So to all the perth supporters I say.

True, did have a scare in '78 and remember they made the finals once in the late '80s.

Mind you, a lot of the perth supporters jumped ship with the advent of the vfl/afl and became essendon supporters!!

all the supporters of the different Perth clubs are out in force 'devon', it is a bit disconcerting, to be honest; even the neutrals will support the PFC, as happened with Subi in 85. I think 78 was the last time all the Perth clubs made finals?
