Surely he's gone now.

That would be an interesting read Dazz!

Hi Swans,
Look I know I (we) at the WAFC have fucked you over at every possible opportunity in the last 30 years be it with fixturing, zoning, umpiring, not helping you out in your financial need like we did with WP & Peel, yes I know it goes on and on!
But we really need your help here and would appreciate you not lodging that report damning our efforts and how we have completely wasted money and resources of late.
We want to keep our snouts in the trough for as long as possible, I mean we want to continue to progress the sport here in WA.
I look forward to screwing I mean working with you guys long in to the future.
Kind Regards
Your "mate" in WA footy
Dorro (Duddington)

Gavin Taylor will be remembered in the same vein as Jeff Ovens and John Walker. 3 people who did nothing but damage WA football.
Heard from someone who used to work at the WAFL that Taylor micro-managed everything and everyone. Safe to say he wont be missed by those who are still there. Then again, he wont be missed by an WAFL supporters either.

There is 350,000 other footballers in the state who are not getting a fair say or fair funding from the WAFC.

If the current enquiry that is going on has taught us anything thus far it is that there is too much money being put into the WAFL.

Well said Tugboat. Wouldn't it be great if they included individual WAFL club spending in this enquiry.

Someone with a big media profile well respected in all quarters, has played and coached, who loves WAFL footy just as much as AFL is Dennis Commetti. This bloke lives and breaths footy, he once said he couldn't even pass a local ground with Ammos playing without stopping to watch some footy. He reckons he called his son Mark because kick or handball just didn't sound right!! Despite being a true blue Cardies man he has always been totally fair and even when talking about WAFL footy.

Well said , DC would be an excellent choice.

Sadly I don't think he would be chosen.

Another clown was Gloede, FMD he was an AFL Eagles - stooge

It doesn't matter a toss whom gets gets the gig now that taylor has jumped off the sinking ship. The whole bloody shitty organisation needs to be disbanded.
Now there is news of Dorringtons email!!
And all these bloody idiots are all highly paid supposedly ""professionals""
How and who is going to take this so called commission seriously, ever ever again????
Even a bloody writer of children's story books couldn't fabricate a story like this!

Sorry for the long post in advance.
1. Gavin Taylor was a low level city of Joondalup bureaucrat that must have brown nosed Mchenry to take him from stadium manager to ceo. He comes across with limited sincerity and i am suprised he lasted as long as he has. It was a dumb move replacing Gary Walton with this Mchenry robot. Walton should have been given more time and support, but was scuttled by the Mchenry/Taylor ticket. Taylor surrounded himself with yes men and women and by all accounts wasnt very popular with his staff. I cant see how he will hang around until November - gardening leave coming up?
2. Dorrington is the driving force that put hundreds of millions of dollars into the wafl over the past 20 years, let alone the only commissioner that has attempted to keep the wafl relevant. Neil Randall has never had a clue and it is dumbfounding that he actually gets reappointed. Dorro has plenty of flaws but no one person at the wafc/wafl has dedicated as much time and passion into supporting the wafl as he has. I reckon that if he goes, the wafl loses out the most.
3. The next wafc ceo needs to be able to unite and represent all of footy, OR, disconnect the WAFL from the AFL aligned family to run and stand by itself independently. This would allow the hundreds of thousands of kids running around footy in wa to be represented by the AFL, the actual product that influences their connection to the game.

Your 3rd point raises the big issue, what happens when they are no longer kids and still want to play footy and are not in the 15-20 kids that get drafted, they don’t have a connection with a footy club to play footy.
Aussie rules is a sport for everyone and connections should be at all levels - junior clubs, country, ammos and wafl.

Not sure why everyone is talking of a replacement now taylor has jumped off the bloody sinking ship?
One idiot gets replaced with another idiot! At the end of the day, you're still got an idiot there.
The question being, what good is that going to do!? How does that help?
