Now that this knob jockey is going who do we see as someone with the background and credentials to take on the task of reviving all the tiers of footy below AFL.

Someone with a big media profile well respected in all quarters, has played and coached, who loves WAFL footy just as much as AFL is Dennis Commetti. This bloke lives and breaths footy, he once said he couldn't even pass a local ground with Ammos playing without stopping to watch some footy. He reckons he called his son Mark because kick or handball just didn't sound right!! Despite being a true blue Cardies man he has always been totally fair and even when talking about WAFL footy.

Who was the last WAFC or WAFL CEO that had a love for WAFL footy? Peter Bowler?

Hope he kept his pool leaf raker. If not I'll organise a whip around for him in the Pig Pen on Saturday.

Good question SS.
I would look for a former WA footballer that has a sound business, finance background.
There have been plenty over the years that could fit that bill the likes of Andrew MacNish who has been CEO of a couple of Councils in the country is someone that springs to mind and he is still fairly young. Of course the salary package could be the clincher as many might have to take a trim from their current executive salaries. But we need a footy man first and foremost along with someone from outside the current WAFC/WCE/Freo purple circle!

I like your thinking Freeze but I doubt whether Todd would give up his current income to run the WAFC.
Wouldnt it be nice if the likes of Forrest, Rienhart, Wright/Bennett, Stokes etc were WAFL lovers and stumped up the money for the WAFL to be truly a competitor/alternative to the Vic biased comp?

well it has to be another AFL wannabe we haven't seen yet
given around $2 million has been spent on footy and $7 to $9 million is up for scrutiny you would be excused for thinking the job is well paid to do nothing
