Hi there. Ive picked up an A3 scanner recently, and am looking into scanning the Westside Football from 1979-96. I know there is a pile of unbound Westside's held at the WAFL I'll be able to use, but its also not the complete set.
If anyone has a good run of Westside's they wont mind borrowing for scanning, let me know as I'd like to scan as many as possible. I wont know what I need until after I have finished with the WAFL's collection, but once I do know I'll put another post on here.

Just out of interest have you scanned the Footy Budgets from the late 70's & early 80's as I would love to have a read of those I have lost over the years?

G'day Beasley Hutton. I haven't scanned the Budgets past 1974 yet. Ive been working on a history book on the West Australian Football Association for the last year and a half which is finally coming to an end.
At the moment, Ive scanned 1486 Budgets and WA Footballer programs dating back form 1921-74. I'd like to get the Westsides done as it was a great paper for the WAFL for 18 years and also covered other competitions, as well as having the Dave Clement article each week, and other historical items in the first couple of years. Ive scanned the National Scoreboard page from 1979-96, and would like to get the rest of the paper done as well before getting back into the Budgets at a later date. When I do start in the Budgets again, it will most likely be from 1975-86.

Just a quick update. After having problems with the original scanner I purchased, I picked up another A3 scanner from Gumtree for $50. After downloading the software from the manufacturer's website, it is now up and running and ready to go.
I'll start scanning the Westside Football in August. If anyone has some copies they dont mind lending, let me know. They will be looked after and wont get damaged in any way. Ive also emailed Alan East who has given his ok for the papers to be scanned.

Alan will have every Westside and every budget up until the 90's or whatever.

I saw a file of every budget back in the day. Would love to see them again if possible.

I have every Westside footy paper from 1983 to 96 and also after that when they briefly came back, if you need help
