They also need to do the seating for the WAFL GF a la how it is with the current Covid-19 set up eg every second row only utilised not everyone crammed in to one section as they have been doing also a twilight GF game there would be more beneficial to highlight the superb lighting at the venue rather than 2.10 start as they have been doing.

Yep I agree.
The footy public(sorry Subi fans) are over Subi being in the GF,some fresh blood in there and I reckon a high 20k crowd and even a low 30k crowd with the right teams playing is a possibility.

The atmosphere at Optus with the lower crowds over the past few weeks has been great.

Just imagine how much better it would be with 15,000 people packed in close to the action in a tailor made ground, with families able to sit on the grassy banks and kids kicking footies. and you can even drive up and park in the massive carpark near the ground..

Waiting for Perth to play in a GF is like waiting for the second coming, meanwhile back in the real world...

The problem with that is the WACA will only hold 10,000 so there will be no kids kicking footys on grass banks as you wouldnt even be able to swing a cat on the banks.
The GF should only ever be at the Stadium unless of course it is Subiaco, Claremont (plus Peelmantle) playing each other than the WACA would be fine.
An interesting and somewhat sad point is that all bar 1 GF since 2002 has had either one of Subiaco or Claremont involved which considering they have the smallest WAFL support bases has had a direct effect on GF crowd numbers.
Sadly my mob, Perth, EF & a proper EP (not Eagle affiliated) have not been amongst the top 2 anywhere near enough this century to give those GF crowd numbers a dramatic rise.

That’s true but I would hope if and when my mob do make it to Optus Stadium we don’t embarrass ourselves like a certain team did in last season’s GF.

The embarrassment of the drought is already there. And there's no guarantee you wouldnt get flogged in a GF anyway. It would be like stunned mullets in strange surroundings...LOL

We have had Perth Derbies EP v WP and not exactly packed out Subi.

Interesting - SF v C this weekend drew the biggest crowd.
