WP against CL in 1982
Subi had two in 1973 -- they could not beat WP until the gf; and, against the Royals, they managed to win four straight games which the club could not do under Haydn Bunton.
WP's one point lose streak in 1980
SF and SD both won more than 12 games straight during the season in 1980
EF won five straight to start the season and then struggled to win a game in the second series of matches in 1979

Can people think of any others?

The one that still rankles us hard core SD fans was in 1997 AR where we won our first 6 games and 8 of our first 9 and we were still on Top of the ladder after Round 14 before a complete falling away in the last round saw us end up missing the finals altogether.
There were reasons why we fell away badly late.

Perth won the premiership in 1967, but couldn't beat the black and whites that season who finished sixth.

BH: your right, it can happen, lack of form, injuries and so on. I think South won three in row to start a season before losing all of its remaining games. Was it in the late 80s?

1987 AR from 3-0 to 3-18.

Can't ever remember this happening before to a Wafl side.1982 round 6-7-8.Subiaco lost 3 weeks in a row by less than one goal.South Fremantle home,East Perth away,West Perth away.

1992 ef lost all 3 qualifying games & the 2nd semi to sf only to come back & beat them in the GF

1999 saw Souths beat WP in all games except the GF. Another interesting streak is WP v EP, not since 1999 has either club had a clean sweep of wins throughout the regular season regardless of ladder positions.

Let's just say Ark that Perth in 1968 made up for their slip the previous year!
