Shaggy is a important loss for us, not so Wellingham we have enough mids with another season under their belts to not on;y cover but move forward in their game.

Viede was an unknown so his move is just another 10 points along with Wellinghams that we now have to play with!

I can see the club looking at a couple of players to fill the list.

Still reckon top 4 and after that who knows!

Subi
SF
Claremont
Swans/EP
East Freo
Perth
WP
Peel

The two state government sponsored teams will struggle in my opinion!

First 3 games
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Not 1 poster on here has an opponent beating Subiaco. There has been bigger upsets in world sports.
Famous Soviet Polvolter Sergei Bubka.Who failed to win a medal at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Two weeks later in Italy he would break his own world record for the 20th time.
Bubka was the first polvolter to break 6 metres or 19.5 feet. And he done it 20 times before another athlete achieved that height.Over a period from 1983 till 1993.Sadly the Soviets boycotted the 1984 LA Olympics. However Gold was won in 1988 in South Korea.
1992 Olympics being the only track meet the famous Ukrainian athlete failed to win in his career.
Can Subi have an off game in this shortened Wafl season in the GF.With the shortened season Subi strength +conditioning + extra training.Might not be to advantage like in a full season???

Not out of sight but enough to make the top 4, Barnard has had then for full season, they have recruited a couple of b+ players and now have two good or very good ruckmen, I think that is enough to improve to beat most teams.

Anyone can have an off day Gtrx and I think there is more of a chance of a few upsets in a shortened season. Theres a bit of a random feel about this season which is exciting in some ways. If a team other than Subiaco ( say SF or Claremont) could get on a bit of a roll over a 5 or 6 week period ( which they probably couldn't sustain over a whole season) there is always a chance of a different premier but I would still put my money on Subiaco. They seem so far ahead of anyone else and have the ability to adapt to any circumstance.

After a couple too Mikeh. I tried to put it on a new topic but struggled on the iPhone. Anyway to kick off with 2 Wednesday night matches at Lathlain on tv might be worth a shot. Claremont v Subiaco on a Sunday arvo on tv might go ok too. What do you think

They have only lost 1 game in 2 seasons.

Correct. I think a lot will depend on whether they can "maintain the rage" and keep the motivation at a high level in a short season. I think they were driven in 2018 and 2019 by the indignity of being beaten by Peelmantle in the GFs of 2016 and 17, so have they still got the hunger? If they have, they will be virtually impossible to beat. A drop off in attitude may give a few other teams a look in.
