Cap in hand to the Vic Govt as well

Any measure taken here with our colts will only be temporary until they rescue themselves - and I did type and mean rescue themselves

Ablett should be getting the don't come monday notice otherwise it's just another victorian hoax

You forgot to mention their overseas adventures, taking footy to a disinterested and confused world. Another brain fart WTF moment from the AFL.

You see this all the time with Not for Profits. As the money grows so does the imperial ambitions, executive salaries, the bureaucracy. But don't worry, Dill's doing a great job. Lawyers running footy. Who would have thought that'd come a gutza????

AFL house salaries go over 10 million per year at conservative estimates - this year has exposed just how badly the TV rights money has been managed , the AFL is pretty much broke after just 8 or so rounds not being staged

A royal commission would badly expose the majority of execs even fraud might be uncovered looking at the debacle

Annual handouts of $20 million+ to perennial bankrupt clubs like StKilda, Footscray, North Melbourne, Melbourne etc would suck up the cash pretty quickly you would think and most of those have had the handout for over 30+ years now and counting just to stay afloat!
Vic mouthpiece Kennett actually got one right the other day saying they should evict those clubs who cant pull their weight in 3 years time, that would get rid of a handful of handout merchant Vic clubs straight away!

Wish the AFL would make its mind up.They wanted control of the Wafl Colts. With a
rubber stamp from the Wafc.
Easy fixed -Give the Wafl clubs the $$ for each player they draft .Like it use to be.

This is not just abt the colts but all of the development levels so the issue is quite deep rooted one (no pun intended).

Perhaps we need to look at it as an opportunity to fix ( isn't the right word but ..) lack of players coming through at 16/17's levels. As I understand it Perth, Swans (I am not sure) and EP play a this level due to numbers. If that is the case then why not look at a bigger district where Swans and Perth form an underage comp and so on with each club sharing the cost and fruits in a draft system.

It is just a thought that may help all clubs with the costs.

Swans had a bigger District. THE WAFC fixed that and starting giving away areas to clubs who should have been left to die.
The District model the WAFC put in place calling it Swans District resulted in no interaction with SDFC and we couldn't even get a list of players off the WAFC because the players were all signed up under the guise of playing AFL (a brand not a game) and they cited non disclosure of private info rules to Swans as a reason for not letting us know who in our supposed district was interested in aussie rules football.
How do you build a base of junior supporters like that.

Give us back our juniors and give us back Ellenbrook.

Just ti avoid the same response, take ellenbrook back OK

Interesting conversation on Foxtel and yes I know it is a victorian centric channel but the panel, brereton, robinson hugdson and king all commented that the vic tac cup should go to the clubs like SA and WA and that the second tier comps are becoming more and more important especially if the draft age is increased. They also suggested that there was a need for 16's, 17's 18's and 19's national championships.

Even the owner of the afl mcguire agreed!
