Back at Christmas time when the fixtures came out I was cursing that Swans were drawn to play Subiaco in round 1 which would have been today. Oh well I said, at least its at Bassendean, Subi may still be getting into gear and we might make a game of it.
What I would give to be sitting on the outer wing at Bassendean today, watching the Black Ducks battling the best team in the WAFL, smelling the hot dogs and burgers, listening to the crowd cheering and booing. You never really never appreciate what you have got till its taken away and when we eventually can go back and enjoy the footy I will never take it for granted again ever.

I reckon Swans would have won by 150 points

I reckon you are probably right, Dazz.

BTW - how did your mob go last night against the Eagles?

Won by 170 so we’re on top of the ladder after round 1

No surprise there - astute judges have been predicting it for some time now on OzF.

However, my prediction is that you will not win another game this season. :cheer:

Was a bloody perfect day for footy today too Mike. :(
Like you I cannot wait to get back to Bassendean Oval one day to watch the Mighty Black & Whites run out again.

Exactly mikeh. At Christmas time, who in their right mind would think we'd be in this current predicament. There are many things we should not be taking for granted. Everyone's life has been changed in a very short space of time. Apparently the virus cases are supposed to flattening out. The number of recoveries have apparently doubled in the past week from what I'm told. That sounds a bit positive. If all the travel restrictions stay in place for a couple of months, I can't see the Wafl starting this season. Just hold those thoughts for when the Wafl kicks off in 2021.
