Any thoughts here on whether the WAFL we be affected by any looming ban of mass gatherings of people due to the COVID19 overreaction? Will it be 10k and above etc?

Clearly that won't apply to WAFL crowds SD, in actual fact it will lead to increased crowds if punters can't attend AWFL games.

yeah that was my thought too Leedsy - not much chance of that happening given the drop off of attendances

I would imagine that common sense says a lockout is a lockout, be it 1000 or 100,000.

Round 5 at Shark Park - I reckon they might need the TRG.

Common Sense has been on very short supply with the doomsday brigade lately...

Can’t see that happening at WAFL level. AFL is a different matter with 40 plus thousand attending and required to sit in specific seats virtually touching the person next to them. If you shut down WAFL games you might as well shut shopping centres down.

The WAFL really needs to have a "lock-in" policy. ;)
We need all the people we can get at games.

Probably depends on ones terminology of mass gatherings. Will there be a numerical limit placed on a certain location? Will shopping centres be forced to close down or will they limit the number allowed inside? Are schools going to close because they are crowded in close proximity? As for the Wafl, can't see any lock out laws happening because attendances are low at the footy. Half the attendees could be in the grandstand and the other half dotted around the ground still leaves plenty of space.

So true ADGM. Humour is the only thing that can keep us sane in this increasingly paranoid and hysterical world.
