AFL's women's round saw the first game of women's football played on the MCG. Ultimately, it was Melbourne's day with the Demons seeing off the Bulldogs 8.5.53 to 3.3.21. A crowd of almost 8000 were on hand to witness the historic moment, with Demon Daisey Pearce judged best on ground.
