Early recruitment news on the country grapevine is that retired Collingwood super-boot Q-Stick Lynch is close to a deal to play for Williams in the UGSFL next year. Would be another addition to an already formidable Cats playing group.

Former Ongerup area player, and Williams have recruited well the past 6/7 years and a good club, so easy to attract players, unbelievable how many have left Collie to go there.

But would have thought he would go round in WAFL at least 1 maybe 2 seasons.

Williams... spent many a school holiday there as a kid, but not really sure what the attraction is.

For a player, close to Perth, good club, succesful club, $$$ , not much more needed to attract players. To live there, a completely different case study required

Totally disrespectful from the lynch not to go to the wafl
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

How is it disrespectful?
The bloke has played AFL for 10 years and has probably had a gutful.
At least he is staying involved in some capacity by coaching an Ammo team.

perhaps Lynch sees the Wesley-Curtin job as good way to snaffle a WAFL coaching job in a few years time.....Spalding made the mistake of going straight into coaching in the WAFL after his VFL/WAFL playing days and was pretty average at EFFC from memory

......apparently in Perth's eyes he has earned his stripes and is a better coach after his Wesley Curtin experience.............makes sense to me, especially if the fella is eyeing off a future in footy coaching.....would be pointless wasting valuable time playing in the WAFL for 2 years if he was interested in coaching as a long term career option.
