A few new tippers have joined the comp and a few others have missed their tips again – not a good idea when only 1 away side wins…. Every team has now had a loss with only Belmont yet to taste success. And thanks for the best wishes for the 250th gents, was trying to keep it quiet but twitter and the like don’t make it easy to keep anything quiet these days……..

Nollamara (6th) v Carlisle (1st) @ Des Penman Reserve
This one was nearly match of the round and will be a good chance for both sides to see where they are at. Nolla got given a reality check by GF rivals Noranda while Carlisle blew Belmont away in the local derby. Only 1 game separates 6th from first so don’t let the ladder positions fool you – this Cougar battle will be a cracker.
Carlisle to win.
Belmont (10th) v Dianella Morley (4th) @ Forster Park
Belmont are yet to win a game and are conceding an average of 114 points a game. Things aren’t looking good and they could find themselves following in Brentwood’s steps and doing the double relegation. Dianella were beaten on the weekend but showed enough class over the field for it not to matter too much. I expect them to rebound fairly hard this week and run Belmont into the ground.
Raiders to win.
Armadale (9th) v East Fremantle (8th) @ Gwynne Park
The old 8 point game – the loser falls a game behind in the fight to keep out of the relegation zone. The Demons will set themselves for a physical game from the 1st bounce in an effort to get the Gwynne Park faithful involved early. East Freo seemed to have pushed side but have only the 1 win so far. I think they’ll go in fairly confident and should take the points here.
East Fremantle to win.
Noranda (2nd) v Cockburn (3rd) @ Lightning Park
Game of the round. A juicy contest with both sides trying to cement a top 3 spot. Cockburn continued the winning since the round 1 loss and Noranda gave their coach his second win since taking over after the round 3 loss. Noranda are a high scoring side so Goof and the other Warrior backs will have their work cut out for them. The have been restricting the opponents scoring fairly well so far so it should be a good match up. Noranda trounced Nolla last week and would still have to be considered flag favourites at this stage - this could be the game that decides if they should be.
Noranda to win.
Ellenbrook (5th) v Ballajura (7th) @ Coolamon Oval
It’s always an interesting game when these sides meet each other with quite a few guys knowing each other. Balla are only half a game out of the 5 and are coming off a game where they had 33 scoring shots – it could have been a thumping with accurate kicking. The Eels overcame a difficult week off field and responded on the field with a strong victory and now return back to Coolamon.
Ellenbrook to win.
