Bassendean Amateur Football Club are seeking expressions of interest for coaching roles for the 2020 season. We are a Community Club currently fielding 4 sides in the B, BR, Drew Banfield Colts and E2 or E3 competition.
Positions available :
B Grade (Head Coach)
B Reserves
Drew Banfield Colts
Third Senior team (E2 or E3)
2020 sees Bassendean Amateur Football Club promoted back to the B grade competition for the first time since 2007 after winning the C2 premiership in 2017, playing in the C1 preliminary final in 2018 and winning the C1 premiership in 2019. Our recent successes have resulted in a large playing group and significant breadth of quality players across all grades.
In 2019 all four of our sides played finals with our E2 side finishing 3rd, our colts finishing 4th and our reserves and league both finishing top of their respective ladders. Our club has now won 3 senior premierships in 5 years and a total of 5 premierships across the club in 7 years.
Our aim is to create sustainability and further success in the Perth Football league whilst continuing to provide a safe, positive and engaging community football club.
Candidates will be required to have, or working towards the following criteria :
B League Coach (Playing coaches will be considered for this role)
- Level 2 accreditation or higher (or willing to obtain)
- Working with children check (club can help source)
- Experience in coaching or playing C grade level or higher
- Ability to lead, direct and work collaboratively with the clubs lower grades coaches in regards to club values, training regimes and game day practices
- Ability to work with all coaches on player recruitment, retention and development
- Demonstrate a positive and well planned training program that will engage players
- Ability to continue to work with and build positive relationships with the junior football club
- Be driven towards success and demonstrate an ability to implement club wide structures
- Have good communication skills and be willing to help in the development of players across the whole club
Remuneration will be discussed on an individual basis
B Reserves, Thirds and Drew Banfield Colts (Playing coaches will be considered for the reserves and thirds role)

- Ability to work with all coaches on player recruitment, retention and development
- Ability to work collaboratively with other coaches in regards to training programs and game day practices
- Good communication skills
- Be proactive in regards to all aspects of the coaching role and bring support staff (runners/assistant coaches)
