Here we are, the final round of the 2019 P.F.L A Grade season and what a ride it has been for all involved especially for the loyal fans of MrM who have stuck by this great man this season. With the top 5 all locked up and relegation settled (unless TA’s or Kingsway get belted and Wembley do some serious belting…this would make MrM’s day).
With some very good games last weekend, let’s hope this round can deliver and am sure the finals series will too.
Off the field, MrM is excited for tonight and shared a conversation with a fellow man this morning, on our commute to work, about how the Ashes will play out and if bouncing will be a good tactic, MrM says pitch it up and let the ball do the talking. MrM would also like to thank all parties who have contacted MrM in regards to attending the Perth Football League awards night. MrM is still weighing up his offers and he has a few indeed, so it is not too late to gets yours in today.
Let us look at this weekend, as MrM bids farewell to the A grade home and away season.
Kingsley v Trinity Aquinas @Kingsley Park
Kingsley have handled themselves very well in their A Grade debut season and will be looking for another good finish here against a side that has lived up to expectations. TA’s, no one would have seen near the bottom of the ladder and would most likely be bitterly disappointed with the season as a whole. Can they rebound here? MrM is not sure.

Kingsway v Fremantle C.B.C @Kingsway Reserve
MrM can sense a lot of unrest at the teal Roos, and not sure why, MrM can just feel things are amiss. They seem to have fallen in the second half of the season, but last game at home provides a good challenge. Freo C.B.C nearly got another win over Scarborough this season, but fell short, just. I think they will throw down the gauntlet to Kingsway here in hopes of trying to claim that second spot if Uni lose.
Fremantle C.B.C by 8 goals
Scarborough v University @Millington Reserve MOTR
These sides may meet again in a few weeks, but it is big for Uni here, so it is Match Of The Round.
Scarborough have earned themselves a week off next week and may use this game as a final tune up for finals and what a good opponent to do it against. Uni have stepped up their game ever since a loss to Kingsley threatened to derail all their hard work. I think this game means a lot for Uni, win and they can finish second and get that home final week 1 of finals. I think they do it here.

Wembley v North Fremantle @Pat Goodridge Reserve
Wembley got a win last weekend, but were not convincing and after an up and down season are destined for B grade next year. They take on the fellow magpies North Froe who playing finals after the stepped back into A Grade this season. If Wembley can win by 30+ goals, then perhaps they still have one last chance to avoid the drop, but they won’t.
North Fremantle by 5 goals
Wanneroo v North Beach @Wanneroo Showgrounds
The Wanneroo young brigade showed some real fight last week and have done so for a few weeks now, it definitely shows some good signs for next season. They face a tough last game though here in North Beach, who are looking to possibly slide up into the top 3 is something goes array for the teams above. Last game at the Showgrounds (Which is looking absolutely pristine by the way), big crowd down, I can smell an upset, but don’t think North Beach will get it done.
