As we reach the penultimate round in Perth Football League A Grade action, it has become a little clearer with how things will unfold in September. With the top now being set, still anything can happen with the last 4 remaining spots. MrM’s prediction is that the current order will stay the same, with all percentage gaps too hard to make up.
Much like we still do technically have 4 sides sitting outside the finals race, that could still be relegated, and unfortunately for MrM his beloved Roos will be in B Grade next season. Which may not seem like much, but MrM will cherish these last two games.
Off the field, last night The Ashes play was washed out meaning MrM could get a decent night rest ready for a big weekend as a little bird has told MrM to expect big things Saturday @The home of the Wombles, as it is LADIES DAY. What is with clubs having ladies day when MrM is around, it’s almost unfair to all the other single gents around, MrM knows ALL will enjoy, and the STM might even cover the event, as they seem to love some folk at Wembley.
Speaking of big events, surely all by now you know MrM is a decent gent, so why not invite him to sit on your table at the P.F.L Awards Night, you;ll be sure to have a great evening.
Let us look at this weekend.
North Fremantle v North Beach @Gil Fraser Oval MOTR
A big game for both these sides, which is why it is this weekend’s Match Of The Round.
North Fremantle have handled themselves very well back in A Grade and will be looking to fine tune themselves as they head into a finals campaign and a win here would give them a tremendous amount of confidence. Facing them is a North Beach side that has some very patchy form. North Beach will want a win, to assure themselves of a home final, but I cant see them winning it here.

Kingsway v Kingsley @Kingsway Reserve
Kingsway, do have a good chance to win here, and finish the season on a good note at home. They are coming up against a Kingsley side with some good form recently and last time these two sides played it was a thriller. However odd things happening at the teal Roos, barely a full side in the 2’s and cannot afford to forfeit in the 3’s again this, also can anyone confirm when that SGM will be? MrM saw it on the socials, but cannot see it no more, can’t quite remember the date or time either…some help will be good thanks. I think Kingsway will get it done, just.

Fremantle C.B.C v Scarborough @Morris Buzzacott Reserve
A Freo C.B.C win here will go a long way of assuring themselves they definitely are a good chance come finals time. A win will also guarantee them a top 3 finish and can even hope for a home Qualifying final. Scarborough they have nothing to prove really, minor premiership wrapped up and have little to gain from this game, other than avenging a loss earlier in the season. I think it means more to Freo C.B.C to win, so they will.

Wembley v Wanneroo @Pat Goodridge Reserve
The return of the “who cares cup” with both these sides virtually sealed to be relegated, this game doesn’t have much riding on it. Wembley have had a disappointing season and will need to bounce back in 2020, they do have a lot to play for though in-front a big ladies day crowd. Wanneroo, well they were good last weekend and if they play like that again, MrM will be a pleased gent. The Roos should finish off the season on a high here.

Trinity Aquinas v University @Bill Grayden Reserve
TA’s should be kicking themselves they have lost to the bottom of the ladder twice this season, killing their finals chances and leacing them wondering What IF?! They can still finish off the season at home with a good win, but Uni are looking the goods. Look out for Uni come finals time, MrM thinks they are ready to take it right to the GF. I think Uni will win comfortably here.

Good luck to all this weekend.
