Another week and another exciting time in Perth Football League circles as we continue to get closer to finals, you can almost feel it in the air, but we still do have some important matches before we get there.
We shall all be fully rested now after an arduous cricket world cup and grass tennis campaign so we can turn our full attention to serious matters. Cricket in the whites, and bicycle rides up the Alps, sport in its purest form, and MrM is one person who cannot wait.
Let us turn our attention to this weekend’s fixture as we have games where anything can happen.
Fremantle C.B.C v North Fremantle @Morriss Buzzacott Reserve
After looking very impressive last weekend Freo CBC will be out to make sure they don’t have a slip up this time around against their close-ish neighbours. They can ill afford to drop any games if they wan tot finish top 2 and guarantee themselves a home game come week 1 of the finals. On the other hand, North Freo need a win to maintain there push to play finals and will know their best is good enough, but can they bring that this weekend, maybe but Freo CBC looked great last weekend.

Kingsley v North Beach @Kingsley Park
Kingsley have developed a bit of a habit when it comes to games like this at home, MrM thinking they might get blown out of the water, they end up causing an upset. It will be a tough game against a North Beach side looking to make amends for last weekends disappointment and when this happened last time, it wasn’t pretty for Kingsley either. I can see it being close-ish, but ultimately North Beach to win.

Kingsway v Trinity Aquinas @Kingsway Reserve MOTR
A game where anything could happen, both sides need a win, so it is this weekend’s Match Of The Round.
Kingsway losing last weekend now sees them sitting outside the top 5 and will want a big push to play finals this season. They should see this game as very winnable, but on the same hand, so may a TA’s side, looking to avoid relegation. TA’s pushed them out of danger on the weekend, but will need another win to find them safe and it may be this weekend. Will be close, and a game Kingsway shouldn’t lose.

Scarborough v Wanneroo @Millington Reserve
A David v Goliath battle and we all know how that turned out…MrM thinks history WILL repeat. Scarborough is looking very good, and we all know the boys at “The Mill” are a formidable beast surging towards another top of the ladder finish, but standing in their way, is a young Wanneroo side, desperate for another win. MrM knows it, deep down you know and by Saturday everyone will know it...an upset is brewing, Wanneroo to win the great biblical battle of the ages.
Wanneroo by 1 goal
Wembley v University @Pat Goodridge Reserve
A big game for the wombles here, can they win here and slide out of the relegation zone of will a loss mean they are left still fighting tooth and nail for the rest of the season. Things will not be easy though as they are facing a University side getting better each week as they roll towards finals. MrM is thinking it will be 123 Uni boys are we on Saturday.

Good luck to all this weekend. Does any know if they still have the build your own burger station down at “The Mill” for this weekend? Would be very handy if they did.
