With rain now likely to hold off until later in the afternoon, Round 10 should get off to a dry start.

To coin a phrase, Bassendean likely to beat the living suitcase out of Hammersley Carine.

Melville and Thornlie probably MOTR, with both showing continuing improvement. Melville's home ground advantage may be just enough to see them sneak pat Thornlie.

Bull Creek will thump Kenwick by an even bigger margin than Bassendean will have over Hammersley.

Reserves games should be interesting, particularly Hammersley vs Bassendean and Melville vs Thornlie..

Carlisle should get over Ocean Ridge by a fair bit too, but stranger things have happened this year.

Gosnells easily over a disappointing Warnbro.

Half way mark of an entertaining grade so far. Some teams have some work to do to if they want to challenge and another has a big job ahead of them if they want to survive.

HAMERSLEY CARINE 9th v BASSENDEAN 1st
Hamersley have a massive job ahead of them to avoid the dreaded double drop. Odds are it wont start this week because Basso are flying of late and will have no trouble chalking up the points and some percentage here. Basso 10 goals.

MELVILLE 4th v THORNLIE 2nd
Big game for both sides. Melville will really want to make a statement and entrench themselves as some sort of force to be reckoned with. Thornlie have been going real well lately and this game shapes as a very close encounter. Really could toss a coin. Thornlie 1 goal.

BULLCREEK LEEMING 3rd v KENWICK 10th
Bullcreek started the season very well then had a couple wobbles last two weeks. They will get back on track here with a massive percentage booster. Bullcreek 15 goals.

CARLISLE 5th v OCEAN RIDGE 7th
Interesting fixture. Ridge have been going ok after a slow start to the season and Carlisle have looked good at times. Will be a lot closer than everyone is expecting i feel. Carlisle 3 goals.

GOSNELLS 6th v WARNBRO 8th
Warnbro have been a bit disappointing for mine and i don't think they can challenge here. It also wouldn't surprise me in the slightest to make my tip look silly. Gosnells 6 goals.

Good write ups guys. My tips for this week

Bassendean will get up over Hammersley and confirm their number one spot on the ladder.

Melville v Thornlie is MOTR. Melville will consider themselves a big chance at home, they did beat Thornlie earlier in the year. Since that game Thornlie has improved significantly. A win by the lions here will start to open a gap between the top 3 and the rest, and I agree with earlier comments Thornlie by a goal.

Bullcreek to return to their winning ways they will thump Kenwick

Carlisle should be to strong for Ocean Ridge at home

Gosnells should also be to strong for Warnbro at home.

I think after today we will have six teams fighting it out for 5 spots in the finals.

Good luck to everyone, may your boots stay dry, and your beers be cold
