Here we are just before the halfway mark of the season and things could not be more exciting. With plenty on the line for all clubs we still have 10 rounds of football left where anything can happen.
Off the field, MrM is quite bleary eyed as he writes this on his early morning commute to the coalmines as he watched the Australian cricket nearly lose the unloseable last night, however we bounced back and was a good victory, as MrM said last time, definitely a busy time of the year for all those armchair experts like MrM, so cannot wait to see what the coming weeks have in store for us.
Okie doke other sports aside, let us look at this weekends Perth Football League A Grade action.
Wanneroo v Wembley @Wanneroo Showgrounds
A huge game for both clubs here and in an early time slot too. Wanneroo breathed some life into their season last weekend after overcoming a strong TA’s outfit and recorded their first win. They looked like they are getting back to some good form but standing in their way this weekend is a Wembley side with plenty to prove. Wembley have played some good football recently and would think they are a good chance this weekend. MrM is going with his head on this one, as well as his heart.

North Beach v North Fremantle @Charles Riley Reserve
Another big game this weekend with both sides having some disappointing result last weekend and looking to rebound. North Beach will be hoping to regain their form this weekend and get back to the football they know they can play, however they come against a side MrM has been on all season and a dangerous side indeed. North Freo may have surprised a few, but not MrM, MrM knows what they can produce and expect them to do so this weekend, however it may not be enough, as I expect North Beach to come out firing. And grab onto that second spot.

Scarborough v Fremantle C.B.C @Millington Reserve MOTR
Let’s hope this weekend both these sides do the talking on the field rather than in the stands, but a Grand Final rematch is definitely Match Of The Round.
Scarborough basically has not looked like losing so far this season and only gets stronger as they move closer to heading back to the finals. If they maintain how they have been playing then no one may get close to them, trying to make look MrM look foolish is Freo C.B.C. Fresh off a big victory last weekend over anther contender Freo C.B.C will be looking got end Scarborough recent winning run. If they ply to their best they are give them a good shake, but ultimately may fall short, this weekend away from home.

University v Trinity Aquinas @UWA Sports Park
The Uni boys are coming off a big win last weekend and know if they bring that type of football again then they will go a long way to winning this weekend. They managed to climb back into the Top 5 and can solidify their position if they are too win this weekend, however TA’s will be smarting after a loss last weekend and ready to win. If TA’s want to play finals a win this weekend is a necessity, they are slipping behind and want to be trying to pay catch up. I think the Uni boys will get up in a close one at home.

Kingsley v Kingsway @Kingsley Park
A night game here means anything could happen with both clubs. Kingsley loss last weekend puts them back into the relegation zone, and they are facing some tough opposition this weekend who will also want to get back on the winners list. This is a big danger game for Kingsway a loss may put a big dent in their finals hopes, but a win and they can push their case in the second half of the season. It should be a good game a lot closer than I imagine and Kingsway to win.

Good luck to all this weekend. As we saw in community football last weekend, sometimes games aren’t played in the right spirits, but am sure this weekend teams will do the right things.
