We are back again and MrM hopes everyone enjoyed a wonderful WA Day long weekend with a bye for most people playing football. Congratulations to all those who represented the Perth Football League against the Country, and well done on winning as well, MrM was very impressed, especially with the bright lights at the Royal Chas Riley Reserve, a night game in A Grade isn’t far away I am sure for the boys at the beach.

In other off field news MrM could not be better, as we all know things always come up for MrM and it is usually good news for all. With tennis, cricket, and soon to be some exciting cycling there are plenty of late nights for MrM so that is exciting for all to witness. The downside is MrM is no closer to finding a MrsM so your help is required, all recommendations are welcomed and MrM can evaluate accordingly.

Alright, let us have a look at this weekend.

North Fremantle v University @Gil Fraser Oval

North Fremantle are sitting in a good spot at the moment and they know a win this weekend and they will find themselves in the top 3 of the ladder and a good position to push their case for finals. On the other side University are a side needing a win if they want to maintain touch and play finals this season. Should be a good game at the Gil, but North Freo to win here.
North Fremantle by 3 goals

Kingsway v Scarborough @Kingsway Reserve

Kingsway came crashing back to earth last round with a disappointing loss to North Beach, it doesn’t not get any easier for them though as they face a Scarborough side that is still building and improving on last season. Scarborough are looking dangerous and MrM cannot see them slowing down anytime soon. Expect Kingsway to put up a better effort, but will fall short.
Scarborough by 5 goals

Fremantle C.B.C v North Beach @Morris Buzzacott Reserve MOTR

In a game where it means a lot to both sides, and the winner occupying second spot on the ladder it is why we have this weekends Match Of The Round

Freo C.B.C are looking good so far this season with the hope of going one better than last. They will also be hoping to rebound from last rounds 1 point loss to Uni and will be giving it all to North Beach this week. North Beach bounced back last round are recorded a resounding win and know that their absolute best is good enough to win. Should be an exciting tough affair, but Freo C.B.C too good at home, just.
Fremantle C.B.C by 2 goals

Wembley v Kingsley @Pat Goodridge Reserve

A huge game for both clubs here with both needing a win. Wembley only have one win thus far this season over a very good North Beach side and will know this is a game where they can also win against a Kingsley side also struggling. Kingsley did manage to get a win over Wanneroo last round, and a win here will put them in a great chance to stay in A Grade, but it won’t be an easy game. MrM thinks Wembley may get it done again at home.
Wembley by 2 goals

Trinity Aquinas v Wanneroo @Bill Grayden Reserve

TA’s are a side who would have been hoping for better so far in season 2019, but be careful as they may be building into some good form with a solid win last round. They will be hoping to win their next two games, and get to the halfway point ahead of the ledger. Wanneroo are a side who would love to be off the mark by now, but like a Cheteshwar Pujara test innings, patience is key with big things coming. It may start this weekend and MrM cannot wait.
Wanneroo by 2 goals

Good luck too all this weekend, it is looking like some wet weather so should be interesting.

Thanks for the write up Mr M always good to read, I too was at the game last friday and the lights were very impressive much better than some of the other A grade clubs who have held 4 30pm games recently (Wanneroo and Kingsley). My tips for the week are:

North Freo vs Uni- Should be a good game both teams needing a win Ill go with Norths at home by 15
Kingsway vs Scarborough- Kingsway are improving although they had a stinker last start but cant see them getting close to Scarbs. 32 points
CBC vs North Beach- 100% match of the round winner to make their claim to be scarboroughs biggest challenges. CBC by 8 points in a beauty of a game
Wembley vs Kingsley- Could make an argument that this is the most important game of the week with the losers survival hopes taking a blow. If Wembley can play like they did last home game against the Beach then they should win as for Kingsley last match against Wanneroo they were the least worst team in one of the worat A Grade games i have seen in years. Wembley by a goal
Trinity Aquinas vs Wanneroo- As said earlier Wanneroo and Kingsley was a shocker of a game to watch and if TAs play anywhere near their best they should get a comfortable win over a B Grade bound Wanneroo. TAs for 7 goals in the blowout of the round.

Bring your raincoats and umbrellas find cover most importantly find a beer and enjoy the weekend. Going to be alot of muddy grounds out there

should be a cracking round of footy,

North Freo over University by 4 goals - to make it 0-2 against the B grade sides for 2018 coming up. North Freo travelling along very nicely thus far

Scarbs over Kingsway by 10 goals - same old for scarbs

Kingsley over Wembley in a tough one by 5 goals - after getting a few players back in, they should have a different side in to the one which faced Wanneroo, few out due to injuries etc if my information is correct

North beach over CBC by 2 goals - should be a massive game, North Beach looking very strong this season

TA over Wanneroo by 10 goals - surely will scrape in a win soon but not this round I wouldn't imagine

cheers lads enjoy your weekends!

Who hurt you, Got-he-Ball (odd name too), why so negative?
I would say North Beach lights, marginally better than Wanneroo, as for Kingsley... less said the better.

MrM has seen worse games in recent memory am backing an upset SIMON for the Roos this weekend.

As for Sherrin89, have faith please but welcome onboard with all your inside Kingsley knowledge...
Thank you.

A fine round of results indeed from some Round 7 P.F.L action with a few upsets or were they…

As MrM awoke Saturday he could sense something in the air, was it the smell of victory or the smell of rain, who knows but MrM knew that it was going to be a good day.
As MrM strolled up for the Colts game it was clear to see the young Roos were going to be up against it, as the TA’s boys looked quite good and managed to capiltalise on their efforts and ran out winners.

In thr Reserves game it was much of the same a better side using the ball better and winning the game and the contest.

As MrM strode to the canteen between the Reserves and League game MrM was optimistic about what was on offer. Ordering the standard burger and chips MrM was left feeling very full, a big burger and good chips. 7.5/10

Time for the league game and as MrM knew what others failed to see (looking at you Got-He-Ball, Sherrin89) it definitely was not going to be the blowout of the week…
As the game commenced MrM looked up towards the skies, a small gust blew past and MrM heard faintly in the wind “we’re on here”.
It was a scrappy game with a few flashes of brilliance from both sides epically as the heavens opened up. MrM was apart of a contingent of 9 supporters making more noise than the TA’s faithful and what a day it was as Wanneroo managed to get a victory in the wet over a bigger and more skilled side.
Could it get the ball rolling for Wanneroo…time will tell.

Am not sure the weather helped Wanneroo, just an all-round good team victory.
