Welcome back to another week of Perth Football League A Grade chatter and what a week it is looking like with plenty to play for, for all clubs. With 5 exciting games you never know the outcome of the games and will be interesting to see how it all plays out come Saturday evening.
What a rollercoaster week it has been for MrM, first the weekend was an inspired win for all and just shows when you’re out of the fight, strange things can happen, not talking football, talking about Australian public being RIGHT. Throw in the GoT finale and things levelled out for the truly great MrM.
Still overawed but these decisions this write up is coming to you a day late, but still in good time for you to read on this glorious Western Australian Friday.
Alright, let us look at this weekends game.
Trinity Aquinas v North Fremantle @Bill Grayden Reserve
A big game for the TA’s boys here with a loss putting them further behind the ledger and a chance to play finals will be a big push. They come up against a side that looked good Saturday and will be wanting to keep that form up. North Freo have started the season off well and will want to win this game as they push for finals back in A Grade. Should be a great game but North Freo to get over the line here.
North Fremantle by 3 goals
North Beach v Kingway @Charles Riley Reserve
North Beach suffered an upset last weekend and will be out for vengeance this weekend MrM thinks. They do face a Kingsway side that is building each and every week. If Kingsway can win, it will put them in good stead to fight for a tilt at finals and it’s a very realistic chance. Beware the wounded beast though so I expect North Beach to get it done.
North Beach by 5 goals
Scarborough v Wembley @Millington Reserve
Scarborough Eagles continue to fly in the early parts of season 2019 and MrM cannot see them slowing down any time soon. If they keep up this pace, we can just scrap finals and award the the Sandover shield now...
As we found out on the weekend though, it’s not over till it’s over so any team is a chance to knock them off and standing in their way is Wembley who will be spurred by a good victory last weekend. I can’t see them doing it again, but MrM could be wrong, although that’s unlikely.
Scarborough by 5 goals
University v Fremantle C.B.C @UWA Sports Park
In a game that was very close to being the MOTR this weekend is a big game for both these big clubs here. Uni are a side much like TA’s that need a win to maintain touch with the Top 5. They haven’t started the season well and may not get easier given Uni break is on its way. As for Freo C.B.C they will want a win to maintain the top 2 spot on the ladder and striking distance if Scarborough slip up. It should be a good skilled game, but can see Freo C.B.C being too strong.
Fremantle C.B.C by 3 goals
Wanneroo v Kingsley @Wanneroo Showgrounds MOTR
Both these sides are languishing towards the bottom of the ladder, but that doesn’t mean this Saturday is going to be a dour affair, MrM expects big things which it is why it is this weekends Match Of The Round.
Wanneroo are building towards something, MrM can feel it and he knows this weekend will mean something to them as they want to win in front of the home crowd, twilight fixture. Facing them is a Kingsley side who knows they can win if they play 100 minutes of football. It should be a good encounter between these two somewhat local rivals and can only see big exciting things happening Saturday. I’m backing in Wanneroo to break the drought this weekend.

Good luck to all playing this weekend and Hit ‘Em Straight.
