Morning all. A topic for umpire appreciation round. I realise doesn’t affect the higher grades. How is the neutral umpire system working? We don’t see nearly as much problems being expressed on here about bad umpires and biased free kicks. I for one think the league have actually got a good result so far with the concept. Wondering what feedback from others is and if there is an umpire on here to give their thought. I’ve heard from one c2 umpire he actually prefers to go to other clubs then do his one all the time.

Absolutely, one of the best strategies put fwd by league.
On Sat was ump appreciation day was held, can only speak for Cobra vs Rolystone game and based on that what a great success.
Two very accomplished "men in orange"...well done guys!

Seems to be working so far.
I believe there are quite a few more clubbie match day coaches appointed by the league also.
Glad to see they are taking club umpiring more seriously now and actually providing constructive feedback so we can hopefully see further improvement.
