Some great games played last weekend. I got the margin right in the WC Collegians game, Missed the Balla win and copped some flak for that. Also got the Maddington Mt Lawley wrong. Some good games this weekend and could have 3 or 4 close ones.
Here’s my selections.

Ballajura Vs Willetton. Battle of last years C1 Grand Finalists. Only won 1 game between them in the first 4 rounds. Willetton certainly put up a fight against SA last week only going down by 2 goals but have had some nasty losses. Ballajura have been in every game and managed to win a close one against Whitfords last week. Should be a good game, but Balla for me this week by 4 goals

Kalamunda Vs Collegians. Should be a cracker Kalamunda have only the one win but should get the second this week Collegians started the season Ok but have struggled against the better teams. I’m going for the cougars because its at home. By a couple.

Mt Lawley Vs Whitfords. Warriors will be seething after leading for most of last week and going down to Balla. Mt Lawley are doing what they do well and will continue to win this week by 2 goals.

Swan Ath Vs Curtin Wesley. Swan Ath will need to be prepared for this game to try and minimize any damage. CUW will continue to win and this should be by 8 goals

West Coast Vs Maddington. My MOTR. Maddington would not like losing at home, and now they face an inform side away. Both sides have some talent and if either team can get out of the gates quickly it will make a difference. For that reason, I’m tipping WC, Maddington are slow beginners but come home well, I don’t think WC will allow that to happen. WC 3 goals.

Should be great weather for footy, some clubs may struggle for numbers depending on how many they lose to the concert down south. Good luck to all clubs and don’t forget to support the umpires this weekend.

Great write up Lozza. You probably deserved whatever sledging came your way for tiiping against Balla but Im sure you have learned your lesson. Congrats on your club getting its first win in B Grade, I have said this a number of times previously to whoever will listen that I believe you boys will be in A Grade within a few years. Junior and colts set up that other clubs would be envious of.

Anyway, here are my tips.

Ballajura comfortably
Collegians
Mt Lawley
CUW easily
West Coast

Good Luck to all teams. GTM will impact alot of colts sides, I see a few have scheduled Thursday and Friday games, great initiative.

Popped down to have a look at the Ballajura/Willeton game, Ballajura started brilliantly in the first quarter, then a few boys started to get a bit ahead of themselves, trying the lairy stuff, if they can rain them in to play team football, I think they will surprise a few in the second part of the season.

Not a bad round of football, I managed to get all 5 tips correct. some were a bit of a surprise, balla had a big win, and like SD351 said, could of won by more. I didn't think lairy, I thought they got a bit greedy and all tried to kick goals instead of looking for the right target, but that does happen when all is going well. The cougars won by a couple as I suggested, Mt Lawley had a massive win over Whitfords which proves that they continue to get better. Even though CW won by 10, my spies tell me it was a great game and the score line did not do the game justice. I would suspect SA might win a few in a row soon. Although I tipped WC, I thought this game would be closer. Not sure if GTM had anything to do with it or WC are just getting better.

Would love to hear how some of these games panned out from observers. Don't be shy to let us all know how your team went. This is a great platform to our games at all levels, so we should use it.

West Coast Maddo game did not live up to its potential except for first quarter which was fast and hard.
WC all over it after quarter time winning it out of the middle with ease.
Game effectively over shortly after half time with WC kicking goals like a training drill.
Maddo played out the game well as they always do and outscored WC in the last.
Maddo FF was impressive kicking 7 of their 8 goals.
