Expect GTM will make a mess of team selection this week and may cause some odd results across all grades.

Expect Bull Creek to make a mess of Carlisle this week. They were very impressive last week in L/R/C.

Little slip up from Melville last week may mean the match against Ocean Ridge will be closer than many expect. My MOTR this week - maybe a narrow win to Melville.

Kenwick's horror start likely to continue this week with Bassendean likely to be big winners.

Have Warnbro got their mojo back? Have Thornlie? Could be close and Warnbro may surprise.

Shocker from Gosnells last week across all grades - only the woman's team won. Can't see it happening 2 weeks in a row.

What can't you see Birdman, the Woman's team winning two weeks in a row or Gozzy playing like poo two weeks in a row in the C/R/L

C1 is shaping up to be a really competitive grade this year. Neither of the B grade clubs in Thornlie or HC seem to be anything like a standout and both C2 clubs Warnbro and Ridge are definitely more than competitive. On top of that we've got Bullcreek undefeated on top after being fairly disappointing last year. Bar the Royals who are having a very tough start, theres 9 clubs here that are genuinely in contention I reckon.

This week

Bullcreek have started very well and will to be too strong for Carlisle at this point of the year. Creek 6 goals.

Ridge finally got on the board last week and don't look to be out of place in C1. Rams are going very well early but its always tough going from an Auskick ground to that big bloody paddock up there. Ridge 3 goals. MOTR

Basso to continue Kenwick's sad and sorry start to 2019. Basso 10 goals.

Warnbro look to have found their 2018 form and will do away with Thornlie easy enough down there. Warnbro 8 goals.

Gosnells get a reprieve this week after a tough one last week. Will account for Hamersley without too much trouble. Gossie 7 goals..

Here are my tips for round 5. Good luck hopefully some clubs can off set their losses to GTM with some ins from WAFL teams due to the
state round by.

Bullcreek are flying at the moment, they seem to be kicking good scores and they seem to be able to keep sides to scores they can easily
match. Having said that I think at home Carlisle is a good side, especially when the home crowd gets behind them. Carlisle seem to have a
couple of good in's this week and I am tipping them in an upset

Ridge v Melville will be a good game on a big oval. Melville are in good form and have had the one loss. Im not sure if they were recovering
from their broken noses the week before against Kenwick of if Warnbro were just to good. Jomer Simpson didnt give us a writeup this week.
I think at home Ridge will win their second game for the year. They are not to far away.

Basso will be to fast and skillful for Kenwick. Kenwick will battle hard but I can not see them causing an upset here.

I think Warnbro v Thornlie is match of the round. Both sides are very close on points for and points against, both sides are close on the ladder
and both sides will be desperate for a win. This could be an old fashioned race to 85 points (Thats my benchmark and most amateur sides wont
lose if they kick that score. The team with the most dominant midfield will win this one. I think Thornlie with their three big blokes could get an
advantage in this area and I pick them by less than a goal.

Gosnells should get the chockies against Hamersley, unless Hamersley drops a few players from their reserves side and plays them in the
league. Time will tell but it looks like they are keen to win a reserves flag and get back to back relegations.

Good luck on the weekend to everyone. Remember to thank the umpires in umpire appreciation round and make sure you all enjoy the
beers after the game.
