Its Round 4 already and things are heating up in the P.F.L A Grade competition with 3 undefeated sides with one of those sides looming as dropping their first game of the season. Meanwhile we also have 3 sides yet to win a game, however with 14 Rounds of football left, anything can happen and will be very interesting as to how this plays out.
In off-field news MrM apologises for the delay in todays post as MrM was inundated with work this morning, means he couldn’t find the time to bring you all this goodness on your Thursday morning. Fear not OzFooty viewers though because MrM still reigns. Last week there some discussion in A Grade and MrM could not be happier, more discussion please. Once MrM has the Hot Chips crusade sorted (a few clubs test MrM’s patience with this) it will be the difference between a hot dog, and a sausage sizzle…
For now though, we look at Round 4.
Kingsway v North Fremantle @Kingsway Reserve
Kingsway were dealt a reality check last weekend but will be looking to build on, from all reports, a solid performance. If they are to maintain their good start they will need to overcome a North Fremantle side, equally as determined to make a statement in A Grade in 2019. North Fremantle are the smoky side for MrM to slip in and play finals. Winning games like this one should go a long way to do so, I think they can cause an upset here.
North Fremantle by 2 goals
Scarborough v North Beach @Millington Reserve MOTR
A battle of the near by beaches, where these proud clubs once fought on the barracks street jetty, should be good game for both, which is why it is this week’s Match Of The Round.
Scarborough has started this season as they finished last, full of dominance and they do not look like slowing down any time soon. They do face a club this weekend that is looking to test themselves against the best. North Beach was good last weekend, but they will need to be very good if they are to win here. Will be interesting to see how North Beach go shutting down a dangerous Scarborough side, MrM’s tip is, they wont.
Scarborough by 2 goals
Wembley v Trinity Aquinas @Pat Goodridge Reserve
Wembley haven’t enjoyed the start to the season they would like and are seemingly languishing in a relegation battle. If they are to make anything of season 2019, they need a good showing this weekend. TA’s kicked of their season with a good win last weekend and will no doubt want to continue the same here. It will not be easy for TA’s as some may think but can expect them to win.
Trinity Aquinas by 4 goals
Wanneroo v Fremantle C.B.C @Wanneroo Showgrounds
Wanneroo were dealt a football lesson last weekend (In all grades mind you) but will be looking to rebound this weekend at home. A young side, lacking experience, but MrM is confident they are building. Freo C.B.C is undefeated and flying once again in 2019, but they may find it tough this weekend against Wanneroo at home. It will be a tough match for Wanneroo but can they cause a big upset, perhaps they can.
Wanneroo by 1 goal
Kingsley v University @Kingsley Park
Kingsley is finding the jump to A Grade tough, but do not count them out as they had a near miss at leveling the game after the siren last weekend. They do face a University side that will want a better showing than last weekend. Uni didn’t perform last weekend against a very good side, but can see them coming out firing this weekend as they look to rebound and push towards finals.
University by 3 goals
Good luck to all this weekend, chance of rain early on in the season, so should make for some interesting football if the rain does indeed stay.
