Fat, arrogant assholes like Demetriou reckon "landmark" moments like this will encourage more gays to play football making him even more money from sponsorship dollars and good publicity.

In reality how many gays play the game??? Who knows...but would a player have the balls to go to the tribunal after being called a poofter???

At the top level people care but I don't reckon the Amos have too much to worry about.

I don't care whether you're gay or straight. If you're gay and you want to come out that's fine by me. Just don't get married or have kids.

In nearly 300 games of footy both here and in Vic I have never seen or heard of any gay footballers or do I even know any gay people. Maybe i am living under a rock or that there just are not as many gay people out there as peoplevthink there are. On TV or in the movies just about every second person is gay mainly because of the high number of gays in the industry and this makes the average person think there aheaps of gays around but in reality they are a very small % and so it is not an issue and not worth the AFL spending any money on it.

Simon Swallow (Andrew and David's brother) played at East Freo and then was playing down at Willetton a couple of years ago and he is gay. As far as I'm aware he was never villified due to his sexuality.

I don't think it's just him the other 2 are just as bent
