After a weekend off, we are back again with Round 3 here upon us, with 5 good games of football where all mean something to each and every single club with 4 clubs still chasing a win in season 2019
MrM is sorry that he is a day late with his write up, as yesterday was a solemn day with ANZAC Day, MrM views that it is a day of rest and relaxation so therefore did not do a write up, also MrM was not on the train to work and those on the train have come to love reading over MrM’s shoulder as he punches out these masterpieces so therefore he decided to delay a day.

In off field news MrM is moving up places in the world and has recently invested in one of the greatest things ever invented a portable charger for his smart phone. While MrM may seem like he is behind the times, this is far from the case, however MrM can say this has changed his life when watching football or sport form his smart device when at work…(Sorry all, but the IT department has been vigilant on websites MrM accesses). If you do not have yourself a portable charger, MrM suggests you do yourself a favours and purchase.

All right, let us look at this weekend’s matches.

North Beach v Wanneroo @Charles Riley Reserve

The boys from the beach are up and about early in season 2019 undefeated and looking build as they look to challenge once more when we get to the latter part of the seasons, they do face a young Wanneroo side looking for their first win. Wanneroo haven’t started the season, as they would have liked, but know they can only improve moving forward. They may just pull of a big surprise here.
Wanneroo by 1 goal

North Fremantle v Wembley @Gil Fraser Oval

The battle of the magpies this weekend is a big game for both clubs here as both would think they are right in the mix for a win here. North Fremantle have started the season off well and are MrM’s dark horse and a team to watch out for in 2019. A win here would go a long way to ensuring they prove MrM right. Wembley are one of those sides yet to register a win, but would be hoping to get one here if they are to make something of season 2019. Will be a tough game, but North Freo at home will be too good.
North Fremantle by 3 goals

Fremantle C.B.C v Kingsway @Morris Buzzacott Reserve

An early season top of the table battle here with both sides firing early on. Freo C.B.C have started this season as they would have liked to finish last, with 2 commanding wins over their opposition. If they keep this up then they can expect to be back in the last game of the season but Kingsway are a side looming large so far this season. Kingsway have had two solid wins for far and momentum is everything in football and will be hoping that will be rolling again this weekend. For MrM though, he can see it stopping this weekend though against very good side.
Fremantle C.B.C by 3 goals

University v Scarborough @UWA Sports Park MOTR

A big game here as we see it at this weekend’s Match Have The Round.

University will need a good showing here if they are to topple the 2018 premiers Scarborough. Uni know there best is good enough as was on show Round1, but can they put up there best in against the best this season that is the question. Scarborough, we all know were very good last season but could be getting better in season 2019 and will not be stopping as they roll on. It should be a good game on a good day, but the Scarborough boys will win here.
Scarborough by 4 goals

Trinity Aquinas v Kingsley @Bill Grayden Reserve

TA’s winless so far in season 2019, but they started the season equally as slow last year and still made finals, so fear not all, but they need something quick smart to start their season. Kingsley are a club in a similar boat, but having lost their best player in 2019 who is flourishing in the WAFL and stepping up a grade things were going to be tough. In a corresponding fixture last season, TA’s off to a slow start against the previous season B Grade premier, TA’s prevailed by 100 points from MrM recollection. I expect a similarly big margin…but not quite as large perhaps.
Trinity Aquinas by 8 goals

With some good weather planned, we may see some large scores. It should be a good day for all, play hard, but play fair. Please don't let MrM talk to himself, join in the fun.

Good to having Wanneroo in A Grade and your weekly write ups to go with it Mr M.

North Beach though undefeated haven’t put 4 quarters together yet, unfortunately for Wanneroo this could be the week. The Beach by 10+ goals.
North Freo will make finals in their return from a long stint in B Grade, where Wembley might find themselves next year. North Fred by 6 goals
CBC will be too strong for a much improved Kingsway. CBC by 9 goals
Last seasons premiers Scarborough are up and about but so is Uni. Uni in a thriller by 2 points
TAs and Kingsley both needing to get a win to kickstart their seasons. TAs to have too much fire power up forward to get up by 3 goals

I think we are all still underestimating Scarborough.

Any writeups on the games? Heard through the grape that Kingsley had a shot after the siren to draw the match but missed. Can anyone confirm? North Fremantle way to good over a very disappointing Wembley

Definitely sounds like Kingsley may have surprised Trinity Aquinas on the day and almost stole a win. With wembley losing heavily wanneroo wembley and kingsley looking like the 3 bottom at this stage but plenty of games to come

North Beach had a big day smashing Wanneroo. How does an A grade reserves team not register a score and once again concede 25+ goals?

Agree - if they get no injuries I reckon they could go through the season undefeated.
