The new season is finally upon us with an intriguing round of fixtures to kick us off. Quinns have come back down after a few seasons of impressive promotions, along with Stirling who seem to have been in steady decline. Coming up are Coolbinia after a few years in C3, and a Kwinana club that looks to be building a solid foundation fir sustained success. It's Always difficult to make predictions with no form guide and teams we've not seen at the level before, let alone player movements to account for, but here goes!

Coolbinia v Stirling

Last years C3 premiers v the C1 wooden spooners, no idea with this one so I'll go with Stirling as there was a two grade difference for these two last year. Doesn't mean squat now, I know.

Canning Vale v Nollamara

This should be a very good contest, I'll go with the home team in a tight one.

Kwinana v Swan Valley

A long road trip for the Valley first up, to face an unknown quantity in a newly promoted team. The Valley have recruited well and with my bias will back them in.

Quinns v High Wycombe

A long trip for the Bulldogs too and with their best player from last year I think they'll struggle against a Quinns side that will be determined to push for a promotion back to C1.

Canning SP v Dianella Morley

The Raiders are being talked up a bit so I will pick them to get the job done here.

Good luck to all teams!

Welcome back everyone for another exciting year. Looking at the teams involved in C2 this year looks like a fair bit of traveling for us all. Looking forward to seeing some quality football this season especially with the amount of talent this grade has to offer.

Coolbinia v Stirling
To add what dingo said, yes last year these two teams were a grade apart. But I did see Coolbinia play last year and they could of slotted nicely into c2 last year and givin teams a big run for there money. I haven’t seen Stirling for a couple of years now but from hearing that this proud club had a slight struggle last year know doubt they will bounce back this year. Big question over Coolbinia on how they will fill that spot with there dominant full forward leaving.
Stirling by 4 goals

Canning Vale v Nolla
The Nolla boys in the paper the other day again for all the right reasons and good to see that Des has got this club on track with a good attitude for the year ahead. I believe they did loose a few over the break but they still do have some talent running around down there. Canning Vale have got back a hand full of the boys that left to Bruce Rock a couple of years ago and in my eyes had a good preseason and on track for a good year
Canning Vale by 6 goals

Quinns v High Wycombe
The doggies lost there best player yes they did but opens the door for someone to step up into that spot. A great first game for the doggies to set them selves were there at against a quality side in Quinns. For me I can’t see Quinns loosing too much this year and will be too good at home.
Quinns by 8 goals

Kwinana v Swan Valley
This should be a good test straight up for Kwinana and coming of a grand finale loss I’m sure they will be coming into this grade hungry. The Valley I think have recruited some top quality this year and I feel like they can really give C2 a hard crack, looking forward to seeing Wulf run around.
Valley by 3 points

Canning South Perth v Dianella Morley
I’m hearing a lot of good things coming out of DM at the moment, they also picked up a few handy players this year including ex-Claremont player Ninja. Canning have just been going quitely about there business and I’m sure looking to build on last years efforts and play some finals footy.
Dianella by 7 goals

Good luck to all this weekend.
Remember Round 1 is always a funny one and I wouldn’t be surprised if there are a few upsets.

I’m glad you 2 are in early. I don’t have to write squat!

I’m gonna back CWP in. Just to buck the odds and try get a sneaky tip in early.

CanningVale have never looked out of place in C2 and a fair road trip for Nola too just quietly. Cougars for me

Wyccy won’t be the same without star and will need a few to fill the void. He’s better than just 1 player at this level. Quinn’s won’t give an inch to any side and will flag favourites for most. I’ll tip them at home.

Tough year for The Valley last year competitive in a lot of games but couldn’t get wins on the board. Hopefully start off against Kwinana with a win.

I haven’t heard anything about either team so I’ll go with DM in last years form.
