Evening all. I have heard around the traps Wanneroo has parted ways with their league coach 2 weeks before the season. Must’ve been a massive decision by their committee to sack a coach so close to the season starting. Is anyone from Wanneroo wanting to come on and clear up what has happened there.

wow, if thats true thats a huge decisison for an A grade club this close to the season.

Maybe Mr M can tell us what happened, or maybe he is the new coach

Don't forget he was only appointed in December 2018 after the previous coach left for a WAFL Gig meaning the interim coach will be the 3rd coach this pre-season - wouldn't have happened too often i imagine

Any clues, from the Roos as to this news? This close to the season proper, one doubts it surely a smooth break-up.. gotta be something more to the story. I see sportingpulse had coach Gooden at bullcreek last year for 1 game only - I wonder if something happened there too?

From MrM's understanding, (and according to the rumour file on 6PR the other morning) a mutual agreement was reached between club and coach to part ways.
MrM is unsure of any circumstances surrounding this, however have an absolute GEM of a replacement in a interim coach so that is all there is to mention.

Can't wait for the new season, good to see plenty of interest in the inaugural Perth Football League season.

If he’s that much of a gem surely he wouldn’t be an “interim” coach?
