Sort of new member here. ....

I post in another thread, but can anyone tell why the PFL fixtures and teams are not yet announced? In addition I was searching for last seasons results by team but could not find any Best Players or Goal Kickers (Some teams had listed)

Whats the format on team submitting results etc?

FFS number 7, they haven't even called for final nominations of teams.
Fixtures should be done as late as possible to avoid problems when teams pull out.
As long as clubs know when the season starts, does it really matter where teams are going to play .

Final nomination date has been and gone therealswansman but only just. The league has a hell of a job with fixturing but like is said most years they could get A Grade to C3 at least out earlier than what they do. In saying that there could be factors going on behind the scenes none of us are aware of like previous years...... maybe an investigation or two! The more planning the better though for clubs but Im sure the league are doing their best. C4, D and E grades would be alot tougher with teams coming and going. I know of one C4 club from last year struggling for numbers and looking at stepping back to E Grade.

Only 38 days until round 1, that is exciting.

Whilst I appreciate that nominations just closed. Firstly this process should take place before the end of January in my opinion. Clubs are wanting to plan there year, including sponsorship and social events.

There doesn’t seem to be problems with other leagues??

Of note, I have been looking the Adelaide league and how that is operating on a similar structure with divisions and the point system.

Don't expect them to be out until mid-March. That is usually when they come out.

I wish they were more like the VAFA and Adelaide Footy League (ex-SAAFL) where the League and Reserve Grades (equivalent of A-C4) are released in mid-December and the other grades are released around mid-March to allow the league to leave things as late as possible due to less certainty about team numbers until closer to Round 1.

I cannot see why this can't occur here as there would be virtually no change in A-C3 while at worst, there are 1-2 changes after Christmas for C4 and fixture changes can be announced very easily with minimum disruption.

I feel for club social committees as there is little chance of clubs being able to construct a social calendar before the season starts - all they can really schedule is a Round 1 function and hope they are fixtured to be at home.

Thats where we are at, trying arrange events, sponsorship, promos etc.

I feel for the junior clubs and competitions who share grounds with seniors. They have to wait for the Seniors to release fixtures before they can even start on sorting out theirs.
