Below are the teams and total points for either the Grand final (with an asterisk) or round 18 last year.

Ozzie park went ok in the AFLX comp at Morley

Lynwood and Secret Harbour I think would be favourites.
Belmont as my roughie.

Should be a pretty even and competitive comp this year.

Quite a few teams could possibly take it out. Still early days yet though.

Jandakot and Secrets are my early pick. Mossies and Belmont my roughies.

I would think Secret Harbour would be favoured after their shock loss in the prelim last year - have a young side so shouldn’t lose any to retirement.
SNESA should get back a few from travel and their 2017 captain from a knee injury. Add in all the recruits including the Catalano brothers and a top 3 spot beckons.
Jandakot have had a strong colts side for a couple of years and were strong all year last year - surely would continue that this year.

I agree with Whitey about Secret Harbour and with SNESA picking up the Catalanos they will be there abouts.

The question of how big the jump is between C4 and C3 is a tough one. Jandakot may very well have a similar year this year to last. Quality set up by the looks and the key to sustained success is your colts and keeping them and they seem to be doing a great job of that.

Whitey - How are Ellenbrook looking this year? What have your numbers been like?

I haven’t been around for all the sessions myself but I reckon we are getting better numbers than last year at this stage, but like most seasons you can’ tell what that means until the games start.
It’s looking promising for colts again so that’s a positive......

Ok Lads, I will have a stab at the end of minor round places. I have a few roughies in here, so bare with me -


Final Ladder -
1. Secret Harbour - Surpising loss last year will feel they under achieved somewhat.
2. Belmont - Looked very good in the AFLX - This years suprise packet.
3. Cottesloe - unlucky last year in a few close games.
4. Osborne Park - look very good.
5. Mosman Park - Expect improvement
6. Ellenbrook - I could see them in the 5, but Mosman park look too good on paper.
7. Lynwood - haven’t heard much from them?
8. SNESA, still have work in front of them.
9. Brentwood - looked good in patches last year, but still a bit to go.
10. Jandakot - Will find hard this season.
