Week two of the finals is here and we have two good games of football awaiting us. Whilst MrM says its only two games of football, we all there is 6, but 6 is outside MrM’s limit of game reporting, so we shall stick with League this week and may do all grades next week. In terms of the games though any side left will be believing they can win it all which makes it more exciting.
MrM will refrain from opening a can of worms this week and not mention topics discussed last week, it was like when MrM ventures out and enjoys the Perth nightlife…not a fair to others involved because MrM is the king of the room. MrM does welcome open discussion though, so feel free to join in with the great MrM.
Off field news and its with great sadness MrM says that he is still chasing a WAAFL Awards Night ticket, although MrM has received some fantastic offers, we are yet to cement a position. If you want MrM to be a part of it all, then continue to send in offers, for those wanting to meet MrM, this is your chance, if not he will be floating around outside looking in and wishing he was involved. More off field news is this MrM will say this. News filtered around on Saturday that MrM attended Cockburn Lakes to watch some football and had the masses buzzing, even some people were willing to pay for MrM’s drink, so he would stay around...sadly he did not, but it looked like a wonderful time for all regardless of the scoreboard.
Were the hot chips good…well that’s a story for another day.
Alright. This weekend games.
Trinity Aquinas v North Beach @Bill Grayden Reserve
In a Grand Final rematch from 2017 you know this game is going to be huge for both clubs here. TA’s lost last weekend but that won’t matter too much this weekend, they will be rearing to go against North Beach and will be expecting a win back in front of their crowd. North Beach survived a late comeback from Uni to win last week but may find the going a little tougher here. Although the boys from the beach are quite a sizeable squad I think TA’s have them covered in this area. The result will probably go the same way as the Grand Final.
Trinity Aquinas by 3 goals
Scarborough v Fremantle C.B.C @Millington Reserve
Well we have the two best teams of the season facing off here in a game that is laden with talent much to the envy of other clubs. Ex-AFL and WAFL players everywhere, who wouldn’t like to watch that. Scarborough are refreshed after a weekend off and will no doubt be ready for the contest that follows this weekend. Freo C.B.C had a great win and will want to keep that good form rolling along into this game where they know they can match it with Scarborough. Scarborough need and will want to win this game to show why they are the best, but it will be an arm wrestle.
Scarborough by 2 goals
Good luck to all. MrM will be down to witness greatness, where, who knows. But MrM will be there.
