Well here we are ladies and gentlemen we have reached the last Round of our season and you can all breathe a sigh of relief as for 5 clubs, they can have their weekends back. We do know a few things but still so much is up for grabs, or to be decided. With 3 teams still, a possibility to finish in that last spot in the top3 and we also have 3 teams who could be relegated, so plenty to play for, with most sides here. What will happen? Well as MrM say soften, anything can happen and we all know that, so we shall await results come 5pm Saturday evening.
In off field news, MrM is going to make a case for all to be involved in something important we shall call this operation get MrM to the WAAFL awards. MrM is happy to sit on any table and can offer remarkable stories throughout the night. If you want MrM to be a part of your table, please contact MrM up with your best offers. Apparently the WAAFL do not offer free tickets to past award winners, which really hurts MM’s chance of ever appearing again.
Alright time for Round 18 preview.
North Beach v Curtin Uni Wesley @Charles Riley Reserve
Plenty for North and Curtin Uni to play for here. If North Beach win and results got there way, then they are still able to fight for that top 3 finishes. If results do not go there way, then they will be forced to be the underdogs all finals series, but they would still be looking for a good win. If Curtin Uni win, they can send another side down to B Grade in 2019, so everything is on the line for them in this game. It will be a tough match, but North Beach can get it done here.
North Beach by 4 goals
Kingsway v Fremantle C.B.C @Kingsway Reserve
After Kingsway got themselves a huge win to save their season last weekend they will want an equally as reliable performance this weekend when they face a side that is looking to tune up for finals. Kingsway still need a win, so they stay clear of relegation. Freo CBC can really go nowhere, but they will want another good win before finals. It would be a tough game for both sides here, but MrM thinks that Freo C.B.C should get it done.
Fremantle C.B.C by 4 goals
Kalamunda v Scarborough @Ray Owen Reserve
This game means absolutely nothing to either side here. Kalamunda can go nowhere and will be enjoying B Grade in 2019. Scarborough probably have more to lose than gain here so they may rest players. What will happen in the game? Who really knows, who really cares
Scarborough by 5 goals
Wanneroo v Trinity Aquinas @Wanneroo Showgrounds
Still a lot on the line for Wanneroo here with a win needed to avoid relegation, and MrM knows they will want to finish their season on a high claiming a big win. For TA’s they will be another side wanting a huge win as they gear themselves up for a 3peat in the finals. It should be a good game, even though the Showgrounds may be looking like MrM on a Sunday, (a little worse for wear) but should be a good game for all involved. Wanneroo to upset the masses here and send TA’s down to 5th spot.
Wanneroo by 1 goal
Wembley v University @Pat Goodridge Reserve
MrM is running out of things to say here because there is little to talk about or hype for this game. Wembley well they survived A Grade again but looking at their Reserves and Colts they have a lot of work to do to ensure their future is bright down at Wembley. As for University a win here and they can finish as high as third but if not a home final beckons for the students. A nice game under lights to finish the season.
University by 3 goals
You will notice MrM did not chose a MOTR, that is simply because MrM could not find a good game to choose and did not want to burden a game with that.
Good luck too all this weekend.
