Round 16 was a such a success MrM has decided he is back again for another shot at it. With plenty to play for in the last 2 rounds we all know it is going to be a tough battle in every game. Which is why MrM is here, to bring you all the great game previews, sometimes boring, sometimes controversial. With the Top 5 pretty much set (unless North Beach get absolutely belted in their next two games and Wembley hand out some beltings.) we turn our attention to the order. Will the order of the top 5 change? MrM very much doubts it, but you ever know in football. As for the relegation battle, Wanneroo may have done enough to avoid it, while Curtin Uni Wesley and Kingsway will duke it out to see who goes down. Am not overly confident in either side winning one of their remaining games, but as stated…strange things can happen. As for Kalamunda, it is goodbye, with their Colts still a sneaky chance of finals also.

In off field news MrM is thriving and his social life can be described like an Alicia Bridges song, which one, I shall let you decide, but things could not be going better for MrM. Many people say to MrM are you living your best life, MrM’s answer is yes, and to the envy of everyone, they know this to be true. If you would like to be like MrM as well, am happy to show a select few how, but be warned like Spiderman, with great power comes great responsibility.

Alright, football talk now.

Scarborough v Trinity Aquinas @Millington Reserve MOTR

We kick this weekend off with a big game, and it is this weekend’s Match Of The Round.
Scarborough are the team to beat this season - there MrM said it - they are flying. They have top spot wrapped up virtually with their percentage superior to Freo CBC, but they come against a side that are building and MrM pointed out a few weeks ago were just about to hit their straps. TA’s are looking dangerous again as we look towards September and can grab a big scalp with a win here, can they do it, we’ll wait until Saturday to find out. But MrM will go with an upset of sorts here.

Wembley v Kingsway @Pat Goodridge Reserve

A big game for both clubs here, Wembley can virtually knock Kingsway back to B Grade with a good win here. They obviously played some very good football last weekend as they overcame North Beach, but they face a side here that will be hungry and wanting to win Saturday. Kingsway are desperate for a win, so I can excuse their fans behaviour last Saturday. This may be there chance to avoid relegation but will take a big effort to overcome. Wembley to get it done.

Kalamunda v North Beach @Ray Owen Reserve

Kalamunda will be relegated at the seasons end and can rebuild next season and look to come back, but they still have plenty to play for and can take a scalp or two with them along the way (winning a game that is) they face North Beach though who will be smarting after last weekend’s loss. North Beach let one slip last week and it may have cost them a top 3 spot and who knows, potentially a home final as well. They will win here though.

University v Curtin Uni Wesley @UWA Sports Park

The battle of the Uni’s here will be a big one. Uni need to keep winning to keep the pressure on sliding into that top 3 and can hold onto their grip for a home final. It is a different tale for their opponent though with Curtin Uni looking for a win to avoid relegation. They should give it all they have got though because a win and they may be safe and put pressure on those around them. Uni should get it done at home though.

Wanneroo v Fremantle C.B.C @Wanneroo Showgrounds

Wanneroo had a wonderful in last weekend and want to keep the rolling along this weekend. Back at home for the final two games of the season they will know if they play 100 minutes of football they can get it done. Freo C.B.C are a side with little to play for as they fine tune for finals and a trip to Wanneroo might be last on there agenda. That is why I can see an upset here.

Hope the wild weather disappears by the weekend, good luck to all stay dry and enjoy the football.
