First off this week let MrM address the elephant in the room and this is his lack of post game reports. Well MrM wasn’t able to attend on the weekend due to illness. Which is also why this week write-up is a little delayed, but fear not because it is here now and we have 5 very exciting games of football this weekend.

Plenty on the line for all 10 clubs and I am sure we all cannot wait to see the results come 5pm Saturday. Now many will wonder how MrM’s chase is going to find himself a MrsM, well it is going about as well as MrM’s football career went…outstanding! MrM discovered a whole new world with online dating and he knows this is just the beginning of a wonderful journey, we shall keep you all posted, but MrM could be onto a winner here.

Allright let us look at the weekend’s fixtures with great excitement.

Trinity Aquinas v Kalamunda @Bill Grayden Reserve

It is simple for both sides here a win is needed. If TA’s want to keep their hopes of a top 3 finish alive, then they just need to keep winning and they should be fine. Kalamunda this is probably a last ditch effort to avoid relegation this weekend, as if result go against them, then it could be curtains for season 2018. I think that TA’s should get it done comfortably though.
Trinity Aquinas by 5 goals

North Beach v Wembley @Charles Riley Reserve

From all reports, the boys from the beach last weekend looked impressive and will want to impose themselves on the contest again this weekend. They will either want a top 3 finish or a home final so plenty at stake. As for Wembley they may have avoided relegation (still a super huge slim chance) but they will want to be finishing the season off strong. I think North Beach will be too good here though.
North Beach by 4 goals

Kingsway v Wanneroo @Kingsway Reserve MOTR

Mayors Cup, lots of discontent between these two sides and to top it all off, the loser of this game faces serious potential of relegation which is why it is this weekends Match Of The Round.
Kingsway have found the going tough in their first tilt at A Grade but they can still avoid relegation with a win here and in front of their past players it should be a big day. As for Wanneroo well without MrM’s support last week they fell short against North Beach. It should be a tough slog for both sides and can only imagine the state of the oval. MrM will go with what he knows here.
Wanneroo by 2 goals

Fremantle C.B.C v University @Morris Buzzacott Reserve

It is pretty easy for Freo CBC win of their remaining games and they will finish in the top 2. It wont be easy against University though who will want keeping pushing for that top 3 spot. Should be a good game, with some good skills on display. I think FreoCBC should get it done and bounce back.
Fremantle C.B.C by 4 goals

Curtin Uni Wesley v Scarborough @South Oval

A report from last weekend suggest South Oval is in no good condition however it is an important game for both sides. Curtin Uni needs a win and in the next 3 weeks they face 3 very good sides. It starts off this weekend against Scarborough who are looking very good at the moment. Blessed with a myriad of experience and talent they are looking the team to bat especially after last weekend, they should get it done easy here.
Scarborough by 4 goals

Good luck to all here. Should be another wonderful weekend for football…

Fantastic news BigO.

Let's hope there is some room on the balcony for MrM tomorrow so he can easily blend in with the locals.

I am really looking forward to MrM's MOTR.

Always great game of footy between these 2 teams. I am looking forward to knocking down a few jogs on the balcony.
IMO Kingsway is one of the better grounds to watch footy at, with the balcony creating a great atmosphere.

I would say good luck to you, Big O and Boothead but I to would be lying.

Well a good weekend of football indeed.
Surprise of the round was Wembley getting over North Beach and perhaps Wanneroo getting the win over Kingsway…but we all knew that would happen.

MrM arrived at the ground and was looking forward to a good dry day of football. MrM got wet, so first task for the day ruined but as the colts game started.
BigO was right the ground didn’t look like it was in too bad of condition.

As for the football, well the Colts game started quite well. Wanneroo looked good again and got the in. Some Kingsway players should perhaps focus on the football, but then again MrM will say, once an offender, always an offender, less time spent on them the better.

In the Reserves Wanneroo used the breeze well, but then Kingsway used it a lot better in the second quarter. In the second half MrM couldn’t see Wanneroo winning the game, but to his surprise they turned it around and Kingsway only kicked a goal in the second quarter, even with a 5 goal breeze in the last, they failed to fire. Wanneroo kicked two into the breeze in the last to win the game.

MrM ventured up to the canteen, grabbed himself some hot chips. Nothing really to write home about, but they weren’t the worst. 6.5/10

The balcony looked to busy for MrM to venture up towards, so he steered clear of that but the crowd didn’t look to big, perhaps most stayed inside all day though, but a quiet-ish crowd? They did make some noise though, towards people who weren’t even at the ground though? Perhaps someone struck a chord last time.

In the League game Kingsway got off to a good start and into the wind got the first two of the game Wanneroo managed to settle and hit the lead by quarter time. The second quarter was quite even with two goals apiece, but MrM thought Wanneroo looked like they were the ones wanting to do the hard yards. But oof words and a push at half time but nothing overly exciting.

In the third is where Wanneroo hit there straps, like last seasons B grade grand final Wanneroo were flowing along, but got a little cute in front of goal and squandered opportunities. But having a 3-goal lead, and Kingsway kicking with a 5-goal breeze in the last was going to be a challenge.

The last quarter was a scrap and little happened but Wanneroo managed to hold on and win.
Wanneroo also seemed to have the louder crowd, but we already mentioned that.
The win may save Wanneroo from relegation, while Kingsway may struggle to avoid it. But you never know what way results may fall.
