Belmont 22 behinds... nearly kicked themselves out of the game, but managed to do enough to get the win.

Only a couple of weeks before we get into finals action now.

It looks as though CWP have come back to the pack in recent weeks. which isn't that surprising with the weather we've had. They have a tall forward line and play a style suited to the dry with the way they flick the footy around from stoppages. But teams know they aren't invincible now which is half the battle.

Going to come right down to the wire between Cott and Belmont for that last finals spot. Only the top 2 spots are locked in so every game from here counts. Secret Harbour can finish 3rd, as can MP. MP can also finish 5th and Cott can finish 4th. Personally I think the race is wide open and it's going to come down to who can find form and step up for finals.

Played against Piara on Saturday and I have to say for a team that is yet to win and had a very long season, they had a red hot crack and didn't give up all day which is a credit to them. They have blokes playing 2 games and a clear lack of talent and many other clubs at this level would resort to fighting and thuggery but they didn't. A tough year for them but good to see the strong spirit.

Gosnells played Piara Waters in the Thirds game last week.

Despite Piara having only won one Thirds game for the year (and losing this one by the best part of 200 points), Piara came up with 22 players and played the game out right until the last second.

Good to see the spirit out there.
