What a big 4 weeks we have coming up in A Grade as we both look towards finals next year already. With the top5 almost wrapped up teams from 6-10 can still be relegated, there is still plenty to play for, for every side and MrM is ready and waiting to ride the wave with you all. People often ask MrM where do you find the time to write such masterful pieces each week?
Well MrM finds time, he does his research and he produces facts, never lies, just simple facts.
Facts are a lot has been said recently about the state of the game and the game is going along just fine according to MrM. MrM cannot wait to see if they do bring in all these changes to the WAAFL, or is it Perth Footy League? I am sure it won’t make an iota of difference as we rarely see forwards leave the 50 regardless.
Alright let us look at this weekend’s games.
Scarborough v Fremantle CBC @Millington Reserve
In a game that is close to of match of the round with both these sides virtually secured the top two spots, only a bye week one of the finals is up for grabs. Scarborough are looking to continue their commanding from and will want to atone for their loss the first time around. Fremantle CBC will wan top spot back and I can see them giving it all to Scarborough. Regardless of the outcome of this match, these two sides will be facing each other most likely twice before the season is finished. Scarborough should be able to get it done here, just.
Scarborough by 2 goals
Wembley v Kalamunda @Pat Goodridge Reserve MOTR
MrM has decided that with this match having a huge baring on the ladder, it will be this weekend’s Match Of The Round.
Wembley are still in danger of being relegated, but a win this weekend should give them adequate breathing room, and if results go a certain way, they may even push for a finals berth (unlikely). Kalamunda, had a good win in a scrappy game last weekend and know if they can string a few more games together they may just avoid relegation. However, a loss this weekend and it may all be over. Wembley should win here.

Curtin Uni Wesley v Trinity Aquinas @South Oval
A game where Curtin Uni needs to be at their absolute best to try and get a win here. Given they are home and have showed recent good form there, MrM thinks a win is not out of the question, however as MrM pointed out a few weeks ago TA’s are on the charge. TA’s, like years before are coming and are looking like a very good football side now. I think they should win here and try to boost their percentage to stay in that third position.
Trinity Aquinas by 5 goals
University v Kingsway @UWA Sports Park
Uni are another side who look like they are gaining some good from at the right time of the season with a superb win last weekend to give themselves every chance of finishing in that top 3. They do face a side here though that is desperate to win and jump out of that bottom two. Kingsway know they need to win but knowing and doing are two different things. Will be tough this weekend for both, but I can see University having too much polish.

Wanneroo v North Beach @Wanneroo Showgrounds
Both these sides are coming off losses they would not be happy with, so MrM expects both to rebound in an effective way. Wanneroo have not registered a win for a while, but that doesn’t mean they are going to come out and roll over for North Beach. While North Beach slipped to fifth after last weekend and are still a chance to miss finals if they completely slip up. Wanneroo to win here and break that losing streak.

Hopefully the rain holds off this weekend as MrM’s lawn is already green enough. Cannot wait for Saturday though, should be some good football played.
