A few interesting results this weekend.
CWP just getting over Cott. It was windy as usual there but a close game for mist of the day.
Kwinana a good win over a much improved Ellenbrook, almost locks in a top 2 spot now.
The shock of the round was definitely Brentwood knocking off MP, could prove costly for ladder position.
Big win for SH also, smashing Belmont who are a very up and down team.

Im interested to see who everyone thinks will make up the finals teams?Cottesloe are currently half a game ahead of Belmont. So its basically Belmont vs Cottesloe. Belmont have Brentwood, Ellenbrook and the bye whilst Cott have Piara, Kwinana and MP. It looks like a loss for Belmont ends their season.
I'm from Cottesloe so naturally I'm backing the Roosters, who are others on?

I heard on the grapevine that the Cott v CWP Reserves game was called off at 3/4 time. Any truth to those whispers?

That is true. From what I know, the umpire issued a red card to a Cott player for touching the him (the umpire) and there were some protests and the umpire decided he wasn't gonna take any crap and called the game. The game continued 'unofficially' with a boundary umpire taking over. Both teams were keen to keep playing as there hadn't been in bad blood between the 2 sides.

Regarding the red card. A CWP player got a free on the 50, he then handballed to a runner on his right to kick the goal and the umpire was on the left of the Cott player, unintentionally blocking the Cott player from impacting the play and whilst trying to get to the CWP player the Cott player touch the umpire. I'm not sure that's how the rule/cards should be used, especially in this situation. The Tribunal hearing is on Wednesday.
