What a big weekend of football A Garde has in stall for us. Despite the rain clouds looming large over the weekend we get to see 5 games of football, in which anyone can win, and each result is just as important as the other.
MrM cannot wait to see what the outcome of each game is and is looking forward to travelling up the hill and seeing what hospitality is on offer for the mighty MrM.
MrM is getting out and about and the word of this great man is expending far beyond MrM could ever imagine. One such example is this local legend running around in his local basketball League while he bestows the greatest homage anyone has delivered MrM since Collegians promised he could drink for free.
To the random local league legend…There is a nice beverage for you when needed.
Alright, let us look at this weekend’s games.
Trinity Aquinas v Wembley @Bill Grayden Reserve
With both sides having some big wins last weekend this match is looming as an important one. TA’s managed to knock off the ladder leaders last weekend and have now given themselves a very good chance to finish in the top 3. Wembley jumped out of relegation trouble with a good win over Wanneroo and will be hoping to finish the season off strong. It should be a great game, but as MrM pointed out last week, TA’s are on the march.
Trinity Aquinas by 3 goals
North Beach v University @Charles Riley Reserve MOTR
A game where the loser may be 5th at the end of the weekend, while the other will be pushing for the top 3, it is this weekend’s Match Of The Round.
North Beach suffered a loss last weekend and will be wanting to bounce back and show they are still a contender. University had a strong win last weekend and their recent form has been quite good. IT will be a good contest, and MrM may go the upset here and suggest University can get it done.
University by 1 goal
Kingsway v Scarborough @Kingsway Reserve
Kingsway won’t be happy after dropping a game last weekend and putting themselves in relegation danger. They do face a side this weekend though who are on a roll and ready to keep that going. Scarborough are on top of the ladder now and will want to stay there for the time being. A win is what they want, it may not come easy, but they should get it done.
Scarborough by 2 goals
Fremantle CBC v Curtin Uni Wesley @Morris Buzzacott Reserve
Freo…OOO, Freo…AHH did not ring out last weekend and they should feel disappointed that was the case. While a top 2 spot is nearly locked away they should still be considered up there for the flag but will not want to drop many more of these games. Curtin Uni did themselves a favour last weekend winning and should take great confidence out of that. It will be harder this weekend though as they face a team fresh on the rebound.
Fremantle CBC by 4 goals
Kalamunda v Wanneroo @Ray Owen Reserve
A huge game for both clubs here. Kalamunda are still a chance to avoid relegation if they produce in the last 5 weeks of the season and will be desperate for a win, it has been disappointing thus far but can they finish strong? Wanneroo let themselves down last weekend losing a game that was winnable. A win here is needed and they know that. Will be a good one for all involved. Wanneroo may get it done here.
Wanneroo by 3 goals
Good luck on the weekend and don’t stay away because of the rain, embrace it.
