Round 13.

With 6 rounds left the top 5 is still flirting with 6 teams.

Ballajura have a comfy 3 game buffer on second places Willetton and Melville where Basso and Gosnells did enough early to help their teams recent decline. Carlisle sitting 6th but not out of it yet. They had been playing some good footy until last weekends devastating loss to Balla on home soil and will need to respond this week if they want to keep in touch with the 5.

Ballajura V Willetton MOTR

Over the past 2 season these teams have shared some close encounters. With both teams in red hot form this game will be a ripper to watch. Ballajura have the home ground advantage and have made the small ground a fortress. Even with 3 games clear on top these boys wont want to drop a game, especially to second placed Willetton. Willetton, after a few early losses have regained some composure and form winning 7 of the last 8 games. With acouple of new additions up forward this match will be one not to miss down at the fishbowl.
Ballajura with enough class to win by 19 points

Stirling V Carlisle

A lot of credit to Stirling, having no colts and a folded ressies team to still turn up every week and I think teams would agree they do provide a contest, is great to see. Hopefully this club can reset over the offseason and come back stronger next year. Carlisle to bounce back after a big loss last week to win by 80.

Gosnells V Quinns.

Interesting match this. If it was at Ridgewood Park I would be on Quinns 100% but out there at Gosnells makes it an interesting affair. Gosnells who are on a massive downward spiral and Quinns needing all the points they can get will cause this to be a tight match.
I'm going to go the bulls here by less than a kick.

Basso V Kenwick

2 teams made of solid players with big grounds they don't know how to play. This will be a corridor affair at Jubilee Reserve this week and like Gosnells, Basso are on that slide too and Kenwick after being stunned by the Creek last week will get up here by 12 points.

Bullcreek V Melville.

The Creek have shown us this back 9 that they aren't as bad as the first 9 rounds. With a change of coach and new FF they would only wish this was round 4 not 13. Still cant see Melville losing this is what will be a scrap in what Melville do best.
Melville by 5 goals.

Good luck to everyone on the weekend!

First time, long time. Enjoyed the write ups thus far, hopefully can get more discussion through the end of the season.

Balla v Willo
Balla far and away the best team in the comp this year. Have an even spread of players across the board, while Willo seem to rely too much on their big power forwards.
Balla by 6 goals at home.

Stirling v Carlisle
Stirling in absolute all sorts atm, seem to be in more trouble than the Filipino basketball team. No Colts, no Reserves makes their viability next year a real question.
Carlisle keep gliding along under the radar and on the back of HUNTER they get the job done for me.
Carlisle 8 goals.

Gossies v Quinns
Could be a fiery encounter akin to what we have seen in Federal Politics this week, based on what happened last time these two teams met. Quinns need a rabbit out of the hat here, while Gossies need to stop a mid season slump. With more quality in their 22 I think Gosnells at home are safe here.
Gosnells 5 goals and 3 punches.

Basso v Kenwick
Both teams on the slide here, who has better brakes? I think Basso, more top end talent while Kenwick seem to have lost a few of their better players. At home, I think Basso will reverse the curse.
Basso 5 goals

Bull Creek v Melville
Well, Bull Creek are back to life similar to the Undertaker at Wrestlemania with some valuable wins. Melville arguably the surprise packet of the year given they were lining up in C2 come the end of last season. They keep charging along behind their big full forward who makes arrows look crooked. Creek have their own big lumbering forward also, could be a tale of who has the better day out.
Rams by 1 goal for me in a tight one.

Best of luck to all teams.
