Well Coolbinia got a massive upset last week, maybe they came out too cocky (just like the eagles last week) thinking it was going to be an easy win but the Belmont boys showed up in force and put them to the sword. Just goes to show it can be anyone’s ball game on the day if you show up with the right attitude.

Coolbinia to bounce back this week with a big win over Brentwood, by 12 goals
Cottesloe to get up over Ellenbrook and keep in touch with the 5, by 4 goals
Kwinana over mossy by 8 goals
Belmont to have a day out over the struggling Piara by 10 goals

CWP 19.14 128 def Brentwood 7.5 47 - Coolbinia bounced back strongly here while the slide for the Dogs continues. CWP sits clear at the top and must stay favourites to stay there. Have been smashing teams at home.

Cottesloe 13.9 87 drew Ellenbrook 12.15 87 - The Eels started well, up 4 goals early only for Cottesloe to close it up. Ellenbrook then again lead by 3 goals late but the Roosters kicked 3 in the last 7 or so minutes. No team was able to score in the last 3 minutes after the game tying goal! Leaves Cott half a game behind Belmont and MP leading to their bye this week.

Kwinana 10.9 69 def Mosman Park 9.13 67 - A very close game here. No quarter by quarter scores but you'd have to assume being at home may have helped Kwinana in a close one. Kwinana a clear 2nd now over Secret Harbour whilst MP have a huge game against Secret Harbour next week. The fight for the last 2 spots in the 5 will be close the rest of the way.

Piara Waters 5.2 32 def by Belmont 32.19 211 - I'm not 100% sure but from memory this is the biggest win over the struggling Piara Waters this season. 51 scoring shots is 1 every 2 minutes! The win was worth 25% for Belmont in what will prove important later in the season. Belmont at home will fancy themselves against Kwinana next week
