Last weekends round didn't see the wet weather football we thought, but by looking at the scores there were some cracking games and the ladder certainly doesn't look anything like we all thought it would at the start of the season.
Melville vs BullCreek @ Melville Reserve
A bit of a derby this one, these teams have a bit of history so should be a heated contest. Melville would be disappointed to lose last week by 2 points, a game they felt a big chance of winning. But you can't doubt their form over the last 2 weeks. BullCreek would be disappointed too and would have been confident against Kenwick last week but lost in convincing fashion. The Creek are winless this year and I cant see them changing that this weekend. Melville by 38 points.
Quinns vs Gosnells @ Rdgewood Park
Gosnells continued their winning way last week in what would have been a difficult day for them. They had something to play for but would have been excused for being a bit distracted but full credit to them doing it pretty easily in the end. Quinns are another team looking for their first points, and had a good showing against Bassendean last week. Gosnells will be too strong however, and I tip them by 21 points.
Carlisle vs Stirling @ Carlise Reserve
Carlisle the third and final team without a win, and coming up against the two promoted teams from C2 in the first 3 weeks they would have been confident on at least a 2-1 start. Stirling are undefeated since coming down but just scrapped over the line last week. Their depth could be an issue later in the year with their reserves struggling. I'm tipping an upset in this one, Carlise by 5 points.
Kenwick vs Bassendean @ Mills Park
Kenwick would be bouyed by a good win against Bullcreek last weekend to give them back to back wins for the first time in a while. Meanwhile Bassendean are just quietly getting it done, taking down some pretty decent sides in their path. This should be a good game, but Bassendean will continue their winning run by 15 points.
Willeton vs Ballajura @ Burrendah Reserve
Like Carlisle, Willeton will be wondering where they went wrong after the looking at the fixtures and seeing Basso and Gosnells in their first 3 weeks only to find themselves 1-2. Ballajura shook of their loss to Melville in emphatic style, trouncing Carlisle at home and getting a nice percentage boost in the process. Balla too strong in this one, 31 points.
Have a great weekend everyone, the weather looks fantastic so set up for another weekend of good quality community footy.
