As they say a week is a long time in football and in the last week inside 50 has gone really quiet. Nollamara added another notch to their headboard with another big win over the raiders, Lynwood bouncing back well to the tune of 60 points over SNESA whilst The doggies were barking hard knocking off the Ridge by a solitary point!! Must have been a great game. Swannies thumped the cougars by 10 goals and Valley bounced back with a solid win over Canning. The only close game was Ridge V Doggies. With the rain scheduled this weekend the games might end up a bit closer.

The weather man has informed me that we are supposedly getting a months worth of rain in 2 days this weekend. Let's see if he is accurate or not.

SNESA vs Nollamara
Nollamara are on fire after 2 rounds sizzling the competition. SNESA copped a bit of touch up on the weekend and will be looking for a good showing back at home against the boys who have firmed up to about $2 for the premiership early in the year. My ol mate Devo will no doubt put a few plans in place to unsettle the Nolla boys and definitely don't want an 0-3 start but even the rain won't help i don' think. Nolla by 10 goals in the wet.

Canning Vale Vs Ocean Ridge
The Ridge got bitten whilst the cougars got tamed so both teams will be out to prove a point this week. This could prove to be game of the round and i was tempted as I think Canning Vale will serve it up to the Ridge but I'm going to tip them by around 4 goals.

Dianella Morley Vs Swan Valley Game Of The Round
2 teams that have been hammered in the starting 2 rounds by Nolla now get a chance to face off and get a feel for where they really are. There has been a great rivalry over the years in both reserves and league and add in rain this will be a cracking 2 games to watch. Not sure if I'll make it down but i'll be sure to be close to the balcany for the banter. Valley by 2 goals is my tip

High Wycombe Vs Lynwood Ferndale
The doggies will be pumped after their win on the weekend and the boys from Lynwood will be pretty happy to get their first win of the season up as well. The doggies at home are always tough and their crowd will be on fire and help them along but I'm tipping Lynwood to work hard on the nice big ground and just outwork the doggies to the tune of about 4 goals.

Warnbro Swan Vs Canning South Perth
Warnbro are exactly where people thought they would be. Nice big healthy percantage and are alongside Nolla at $2 for flag favourites early on. Probably drifted a little from pre-season favouritism but everyone expects these guys to be there are the pointy end of the season. If they'd kicked a little straighter last week it could have been worse for Canning Vale and CVP will need to find a bit if they want to scare these guys. At home and out of the blocks early you can't go past the Swannies by 10 goals here.

Good luck all and stay dry

its going to be a tough and long day for SNESA unfortunately,
The Nolla all stars by 20 goals

Ridge to good and to come back after a disappointing loss last week
Ridge by 6 goals

Dianella and Valley will be a great game, agree with you viper on the match of the round. Valley came out hard last week against the tigers and will look to continue that good form.
Valley by 5points

The doggies got up in a close one and that win definitely got there tails up and wagging. Unfortunately I think Lynwood will be too good this week.
Lynwood by 2 goals

Canning South Perth came out in first gear last week and that’s were they stayed, flat footed all day and didn’t put up much of a fight against Valley, let’s hope they change there attitude this week as they come up against the mighty swans.
CSP by 2 points

Good luck to all this weekend.

No rain until 8pm tonight now. Perfect day for footy albeit a bit warm.

What a day down at the Kennel!! Dogs are barking at the moment with a 10 goal win over Lynwood. Nolla comfortably over SNESA and Warnbro if they could kick straight would have smashed Canning by a lot more than the 10 goals listed. Ridge got the cookies at the Cougars den whilst Dianella ended up cursing to a 6 goal win.

Hot day really being 28 and the reserves would have felt it for sure. In the ressies it was Valley out of the blocks early but a monster 6 goals to 1 second quarter put DM in front at the half. Third quarter was even stevens and Valley looked gone halfway through the last. 2 quick goals put them in front and then they had to hold out the DM onslaught. One of their guys missed an easy one which would have given then the win and then they got another shot which was quite difficult but the siren rang as it sailed through for a point and a 3 point loss. Typical of these 2 teams over the years just hammer n tong for 4 quarters.

League was a good contest. 4-1 to 1-4 at qtr time to DM but lots of skill errors from both teams. DM capitalised the most on turnovers hitting the scoreboard. Both teams playing a good running brand of football was good to see. Half time I think was only 2 goals the difference and it was probably goal for goal til a few minutes to go in the third when Valley started tiring. Valley lost 2 players before qtr time and in the Heat was going to be a struggle late in the game. DM in the last slotted a few early to seal the game. Valley kicking a couple late to bring the margin back a bit.

Barely a push and shove all day really. Couple small ones which is usual for footy. Both teams look to have good depth judging by the reserves results so far this year too.

It wouldn’t be amateur footy viper if there wasn’t a bit of push n shove mate, as long as it doesn’t go too far and get out of hand then it’s all good. Great write up and good to see that the MOTR lived up to its name.
