North Beach vs Fremantle CBC @Charles Riley Reserve (MOTR)
This is a huge game between two heavyweights of the competition and this game will be a huge indicator of where both of these teams stand in the grand scheme of things. The Beach got the job done against Kingsway on the weekend and CBC were also convincing winners. I cant see the Beach dropping this one at home though.
North Beach by 2 Goals.

Kingsway vs Trinity Aquinas @Kingsway Reserve
Both these sides were no where near good enough last weekend and both have plenty to prove going into this weekends battle. It will be a bit of a slop at Kingsway if the suspected 10mls of rain does come and i think the pain will continue for Trinity Aquinas as i can see an upset brewing here.
Kingsway by 1 Goal.

Wembley vs Scarborough @Pat Goodridge Reserve
Scarborough have recruited extremely well which they have shown in the first two weeks with two pretty comfortable wins, whilst Wembley sit even on the ledger after getting the chocolates last week against Wesley Curtin. Scarborough's class will be way too much for Wembley here.
Scarborough by 7 Goals.

Kalamunda vs Wesley Curtin @Ray Owen Reserve
This nearly came in as a shock match of the round, but after much consideration i awarded it to the two teams near the top of the ladder and not the two in the dundrums. Curtin's first two weeks has not been promising what so ever being outclassed in both outings. Kalamunda are showing similar signs proving very hard to beat at home but being a completely different side on the road.
Kalamunda by 2 Goals.

Wanneroo vs University @Wanneroo Showgrounds
MrM's boys have shown some promise in the first couple of rounds showing that they can compete with the big boys and come up this week against a side who will be ecstatic with their performance away from home against the reigning premiers. Wanneroo are always very hard to beat at home with their parochial crowd but i think a win here will be a bridge too far.
University by 5 Goals.

Bring the coats and brolleys on the weekend, and good luck to all sides.

Firstly let us all address what everyone is wondering...MrM where are your post game reports? Well after MrM got back from the land of the home and brave, he was instantly promoted into a new position at work. More hours, more responsibility, more pressure, however sadly there was little to no increase in pay check.
However a deal* has been reached with the boss at work, If Janice on reception is allowed to accost MrM about his opinions on Bachelor in Paradise that week, then MrM can spend 20 mins writing up a thorough match report at work.
*deal is a loose term as when asked the boss said...“what is OzFooty and who is MrM?”

Moving on though, MrM was thoroughly impressed last weekend by Scarb-iaco or is it Subi-orough ?
Either way, they looked good, slick and definitely impressive. MrM was disappointed by one omission and that was DRumble, the man has calves so big they should be referred to as cows. MrM did enjoy seeing Milburn Pennybags having a run around as well, he loves a chat does this man and word has gotten back to MrM he has definitely earned this title.

Let us get into this Round 3 as we have some very exciting games to look forward to. Boothead you’re doing a fabulous job, keep up the good work, please can I have a detailed report on Kingsway Reserves? First ever scoreless game in Kingsway history?

North Beach v Fremantle CBC @Chas Riley Reserve MOTR

It definitely will be a good match up to witness, which is why it is this week’s Match Of The Round.
North Beach have had some promising results for far this season, however if you look at the results, they have only beaten 8th & 10th, this will be a real test for them. Freo CBC are looking good and have added some good depth with some ex WAFL players. I think it will be a good game, if it rains, then look for a low scoring slug fest, with the Beach to get a win.
North Beach by 2 goals

Kingsway v Trinity Aquinas @Kingsway Reserve

Kingsway will be hoping for a much better showing this weekend, I am sure the Teal Roos will be looking to get their maiden win in A Grade however they face a TA’s side looking to rebound after a slow start. TA’s have had a slow start to the season and you know they will be looking to come out firing this weekend. If it does rain, perhaps TA’s bigger bodies will hold them in good stead. I think they will get a good win here.
Trinity Aquinas by 4 goals

Wembley v Scarborough @Pat Goodridge Reserve

Wembley got onboard last weekend, and will be hoping to keep that momentum rolling when they face, a good unit in Scarborough. It will be tough game for Wembley but if they can control the football then they may cause an upset. Scarborough though a very good and you’d expect they would fancy themselves here. I think Scarborough should get the easy win here.
Scarborough by 4 goals

Kalamunda v Curtin University Wesley @Ray Owen Reserve

Kalamunda would not be happy with what they produced last weekend, albeit against a very good side, they know they need to do better and they have a good chance too when they take on Wesley Curtin this weekend. Curtin Wesley are a side who needs to do better if they are to succeed this season, but it is always a tough ask going up the hill. I think Kalamunda will enjoy a nice win here.
Kalamunda by 3 goals

Wanneroo v University @Wanneroo Showgrounds

Well Wanneroo only played 50 minutes of football last week and Scarborough showed them it takes 100 minutes to get the job done. Back at home this weekend you would think that they would be up and firing for a big clash, but they face University who will have gained some form after last week’s big win. Uni got their first win of the season last Saturday and will be out to make sure its two on the trot. I can see it being very close but I expect a Roo-vival of sorts after last week.
Wanneroo by 2 goals

Good luck all, if it rains MrM will be inside, so have fun.

As requested MrM;

The Reserves were never going to win last week as Nth Beach had way too much class and were fitter, stronger and were committed to the cause. Whilst our boys are a long way off it at the moment.

In the League Kingsway started really well but just could put any scoreboard pressure on and with the breeze North Beach capitalised. Kingsway never really got back into the game & will need a much better effort this week which i think will come.

P.S. make sure gilati and cub's delivery is on time for the Round 8 clash.

A few out today, but a very embarassing afternoon for our boys. Doesnt get any either facing the all conquering Freo CBC next week.

Well done to TA's, CBC, Scarborough, and especially Curtin & Wanneroo on ultra impressive wins this afternoon.

Well Mr Boothead what does a few out mean? 3? Because MrM thinks 3 won’t make a huge difference considering MrM checked your team list and didn’t see much of a change...
Who knows, but we digress.

Some interesting results this weekend.

MrM ventured up to Wanneroo Showgrounds where he is more commonly known as... MrM, the M stands for Marvel in this case. If you didn’t know MrM was a marvel back in his heyday perplexing all who witnessed his abilities.
Whatever the case may be MrM enjoyed a good day, after finding out it wasn’t raining he knew a good day was in store.
The Colts, lost a game they could have won. It was a good effort for the young Roos.
The Reserves, very much the same, if it wasn’t for a 15 minute burst from Uni in the third, the game could have gone either way, but Uni were deserving winners.
The canteen, under new management MrM believes, but like Winx, this prized possession turns up every week, and wins. Hot chips were very well cooked and the hamburger really hit the spot, greta deal all around. 9/10

Time for the exciting League game now.
Wanneroo played well for majority of the game but Uni were coming all day, especially right before 3 quarter time when they were gifted a few shots on goal but only capitalised on one, thanks to... well MrM isn’t too sure why Uni got a few shots, as it seemed to be a Uni player applying a headlock. But overall was a good clean, well officiated game.
Wanneroo had a good lead, and let Uni kick a late one, but the damage was done. As Wanneroo had a good win.
Great banter between the crowds as well and good to see the Uni boys hanging around in their killer shirts till late when their bus collected them.
